Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.

In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Hey everyone!
I just got the letter from RTC with Ashley's address and grad date (May 06,2011) Does anyone else have a future sailor on the same ship and division?

That sounds like a wonderful letter. The part about the veggie brought tears to my eyes too. It just goes to show that they takea part of us with them as much as we hang on to a part of them... your post brought much comfort.
I can't wait to see what comes in the mail today!!!

okay Jenn if you didn't get a letter today then I won't get my hopes up for one today either. But I'm going to check anyway LOL Stupid mailman takes his lunch break in our complex club house and I want to knock on the door and tell him I WANT MY MAIL DAMNIT hahahaha I don't get mail till 4pm!!

ave, same here we have to wait til like 3-4PM we live on top of a mountain and our mailman is kind of like the mailman in that movie with Chevy Chase who drives by and throws th mail out the window LOL... well, not that bad, but almost!! if there is too much mail or a box that wont fit in our mailbox, he is so lazy, he takes it back to the post office instead of driving up the driveway and beeping for me to come out and get it... I tried giving him a nice tip at xmas and stuff, thinking I'd butter him up, but to no avail LOL

Okay guys, ready for this, I got not one, not two, but THREE letters today! One from the 18th, 19th, and 20th.
He says at first they didn't do anything, and was actually gaining weight, and he was really bad at marching. He said they all look the same, he has his glasses, and got his teeth done. He said he wished I could see him in his camo and boots, they all look so cool. He also said they joke a lot about how they feel they eat every hour b/c they eat 3 times a day, and the day is so short. in bed at 9 and up at 4:30. He said the chief finally complimented him, b/c he has such good handwriting. His natural writing is navy standard, go figure lol. He said b/c his handwriting is so nice he was made to do more logs hehe. He joked about walking around naked at hygien time, he said all the guys get a good laugh about it. Oh he said the shot on the ass hurt like hell. He said so far they have been doing a lot of folding and learning to dress fast, no training with guns or anything yet. He told me I'm in trouble when he gets home b/c I'm going to have to learn how to fold the navy way. OY VEY!!!!
He said he really hated the first few days here, but his friends, and the navy, won't let him quit, and he's starting to really like it. He said its the friendships that's really getting him through it.
He mentioned names of his friends, I don't know if its a good idea to mention names on here, but his bunk mate starts with a B last name.
