Liddia, Hi!!! Our daughter is on ship12 div 165 and I thankyou for setting up this site for us..Moms and Dads. I look forward to chatting and sharing with all of you.where are you coming from? we haven't made any reservations yet either...not sure if going into milwaukee or just fly into chicago. looking for the best price I guess. we are from Rochester,ny.
My son is on ship 12 div 165.  We are looking at staying on base at the Gateway Inn, but also haven't made any reservations yet.  We will be coming from Little Rock, AR.  My son is probably one of the older in the group at age 32.

welcome to the group

do you know how much the rooms are at Gateway Inn?

That is awesome that your son joined the navy

Rooms at the Gateway Inn are $37.  I have been out of town this weekend, so just now getting back on the sites.

welcome home and i hope that you had a great weekend

that is an awesome price

can you please send me the number

http://dodlodging.net/NS_GREATLAKES.HTM

Phone number is 847-792-3746.  I am pretty sure that you have to be military connected to stay here.  My husband is retired military, but it wouldn't hurt to call and ask about a PIR stay.

thank you so much

my dad is served in the army during vietnam war, and i have a brother stationed in hawaii in the army, and i have a nephew stationed in ky in the army. so hopefully i can get it at a discount price.

I had thought my son would be the oldest he is 31.  We were teasing him when he left, telling him he would be called dad by the other recruits!  Is your son married ?  Where will he be going for A school ?
Yes, my son is married and will be going to A school at San Diego.  Is your son married?  Guess Shaun will be the "grand dad" at 32!.LOL!
My son is also married.  April 5 will be their 1st anniversary.  His wife is so supportive of him and what he is doing but I know it is hard to be apart on their anniversary.  He will be going to Pensacola for A school
Mine has been married for 3 years.  My husband is retired Air Force, so we were very excited when Shaun made the choice to carry on the military tradition in our family.

Thanks for setting this up Liddia.  We had exchanged posts on the RTC site.
