I got three seperate letters today.  He must have gotten the hint!  Tried to fool me but was too tired to remember to date each letter differently lol  all letters were dated 3/20/11 .  I don't care as long as I got something from him.  He told me that my next phone call would be April 8th.  Did not tell me it was Battlestations.  N4M is just Fantastic.  Makes me one step ahead.

Now I am getting EXCITED.

Im so happy for you ...Must be that ESP between Mothers and Children lol.. I sure hope I get a letter today! Wow Battlestaitons. Thanks for sharing HisMom hearing from other Moms in this division is nice too. Makes me feel like I really do have eyes in the back of my head like I always told my kids I did anyway . Have a great day!
You don't really have eyes in the back of your head?  I do.  :::grin:::
This site is awesome.  When one mom does not get info and another does we share and keep everyone in the loop.  From what I heard they are not allowed to talk EVER but still do and do get busted for it.  I asked my son what was the most stupid thing he has seen a SR do?  He said the SR corrected the RDC, the recruit was wrong of course- then he wrote (I got 8 counts for that one!)  lol  I gotta love the way he has impeccable integrity.  He will own up to anything he has done.  One for the Momma.  He was probably getting bored and needed to shake it up a little.  Less than three weeks now!!!!

Geesh ship 9 div 131 has gone silent!!!!!!   Come on ladies share some information from those letters.......  Some of us out here are starving for information...

I think they are just too stubborn.  We are really getting close to PIR.   I am excited.  Many new firsts for me.  First flight.  First PIR.  First military in my immediate family.   First time to the West.  I have been north and south on the coast of the United States but never west.  It will be really fun.  I hope he feels like site seeing while we are there and not just being in the room on the computer.

How are you doing?  Are you coping with the home situation?  Stay safe and healthy.

Hi everyone,

Im hoping for a letter this week...Its my first military experience also. My Dad was in the Korean War but he has passed and I never really talked to him about it. Im so excited about going to Chicago and eating a family dinner with my Sailor even if I didnt cook it. (No Dishes lol)  I love hearing what other Moms have to say..

Navyfiancee....check the other div's on this discussion board for information....may not be about your SR, but you can get a clue as to what's going on.

I got a phone call today cause div 138 did well this last week. I've posted it to the ship 09 div 138 site. But remember, no news is good news!

Hi "HisMom,

I got a letter from my son and he said that they have gotten a few flags for different things and that it is really cool because they get to carry them while they march.  This is quote " we got flags because we are BEASTS" LOL One of the flags they got was for PT!!!! LOL I am not surprised as much "exercise" our division has had to do this past 6 weeks.  We are almost there !!!!! YAY

Have a great day.

LOL Kenny's mom-My son is leading that PT train.  He is the Athletic Petty Officer of this division (one of two)  I guess they are beasts!  Well there you go....those mouths were good for something!  Yippeeee we are two weeks away!!!! My son wrote me a letter and "sang" happy birthday to me on paper.  Made me cry.  "Happy Birrrrrthday Dear Moooootherrrrrrrrrr, Happy birthday to youuuuuuuuu"  First birthday ever without him it was heart crushing. At everyone's birthday party we take a family picture.  This year we held up a sign that said "We love and miss you Doug"  Going to send it to him.

Said he got a marksman ribbon.  At the time they had two flags but he was not sure what they were for. He said boot camp s***s but almost over and he hopes A school is better.  That made me chuckle.   Wait till he sees his actual bed on a boat.  This is going to be interesting.  He has been such a princess growing up.  I need to get this devilish grin off my face before graduation.

Sending info gotten from letter this week.....

The SR's got vaccines again.  All of them!  All over!  yikes.  My son got really sick spent 2 days SIQ and he never ever lets illness get him down.  Must have been bad.  The are doing firefighting this week.  He said 4 SR's were dropped from the division I am not sure what that meant (held back or removed all together)  I hope it was no one's SR from here.  And I hope they are just held back.  ::sayin a little prayer::::

HI
I just joined this group.   My son mentioned it in his last letter which was received on Thursday this week instead of Wednesday.  I wished I had known about the site earlier!  He is graduating on April 15 and me, his girlfriend, two of his sister and his niece will be there from Denver.  We cannot wait to see him, he has been missed so much here.  Being the youngest of four sister this is a brand new to all of us.

In his last letter he talked about how they almost ran over 6 guys during a drill inspection.   He said they got yelled at quite a bit for that one.  But 83 stoky guys versus six must have been quite a site,  He said their RDC called them a freight train rolling, they are a pretty solid group.

He never mentioned anything about the silence in his lettesr,   The last call I got from him his voice was hoarse from yelling...

I can't wait for April 8 when he will be calling again.  Will this be "I am a sailor" call? or is that as diffferent one?
