OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

******BATTLESTATIONS*******
BattleStations is the final test for your SRs. They will be tested on everything they have learned and might encounter when deployed on a ship. It is a 12-hr overnight drill. It takes place on a Disney-created ship (USS Trayer), in a very realistic environment, and starts in the evening, finishing up in the morning with a capping ceremony. This is where your recruits trade their "recruit" ball caps for their "sailor" caps, have now graduated, and are sailors! Teamwork is the name of the game....the divisions are divided into small teams and must function well together. They will be evaluated both individually and as team members.
This is what a Chief said about BattleStations: 150-300 recruits go through a night, 3-10 out of those may fail and have to go through again on another night, teamwork is the key, if all recruits keep their mouths shut, focus and listen, and work as a team, they should pass.
The divisions go through with their brother divisions. Two, three, or four divisions go through a night. Two would be one set of brother divisions; three would be a set of brother divisions plus an 800 or 900 division, and four would usually be 2 sets of brother divisions. Since both the 800 and 900 divisions in this PIR group have brother divisions, looks like they will go through with either two or four divisions each night. They start with the lowest numbered divisions and move up...the 800 and 900 divisions go through randomly. They can start the week before PIR, usually Wed or Thurs night....and go until Wed night before PIR...or they can start PIR week. Since this group has 12 divisions, they most likely will start the week before PIR. They do not go on Fri or Sat nights due to Captains Cup on Sat. for all divisions---a fun athletic competition for all divisions in the PIR group. If a recruit fails BattleStations, they will be allowed to go through with another group and should pass. Some may even go through the night before PIR...and then will be in the balcony in uniform, unable to march because of fatigue from being up all night...but a sailor!
The "I'm a Sailor" calls start about 2 pm GL time the day they finish...but can come earlier or later...so phones should be close by all day. If you don't receive the call, it could mean that your sailor had watch and will hopefullly call the next day. Please ask your recruit if all in his/her division passed and post that.

121+122, 123+124, 125+126, 127+128, 807+808, 920+921

I'm thinking that they will start on Sunday, the 3rd, and finish on Mon, the 4th. Hope to remove the questionmarks soon and have an accurate schedule. Thanks!

Praying for 121-124 in BattleStations tonight! Remember, calls may start coming in as early as 2 pm GL time tomorrow, but could start earlier, or can start later and go for a good while with 4 divisions calling....so phones handy all day long!
