For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Please note! Changes to this guide happened in October 2017. Tickets are now issued for all guests, and all guests must have a ticket to enter base. A separate parking pass is no longer needed to drive on to base for parking.

No call yet. He must be calling his friends. He is a sailor though. Yeah! What a relief. I am hoping he does not run out of calling card minutes before he gets to call me.

Darn it I let him go to call his step dad and we can do a three call and his not calling me. I hope he didnt run out of mins. or hes probably calling HIS DAD. Ugh!!!

Yay!!! We all done good!
I let him go so that he could call his dad and his dad didn't have his phone on or answer the phone. So, he called me back and I got the rest of his hour. This is the most that we have talked in such a long time. I feel so fortuante.
I am a PROUD Navy mother of a Sailor now!!

He finally called. Sounds so tired. He said he has a really bad sore throat and has to stand watch tonight. They have been up since 6am on Thursday. He also is not going to be particpating in Captian's Cup. Not sure why, I thought they all participated? I guess because he will be up all night standing watch. Poor kid. It sounds like the 1st week of BC all over again. I want to take him some soup and give him some medicine for his throat.
Funny thing, while we were talking he tells me. Mom I'll call you right back. They have candy and soda for us and I really want some. He called back but, did not get much time to continue talking. Oh well, I am so glad he finished BS and passed all of his other tests. I hope the week goes by quickly so I can give him a big giant HUG!
Congrats to all you and your son's for passing. What a great way to end the week! And now for that drink. Cheers

Got my 40 second phone call earlier this after noon. Passed all his tests. Was worried about the run. ( He hadn't pasted it yet) I am just so darn proud of him! Can't wait to see him Next week! And Thank you Denise for making me some ribbons! They are GREAT!
