Hey everyone!

I just got the letter from RTC with Ashley's address and grad date (May 06,2011) Does anyone else have a future sailor on the same ship and division?

Aveo & TN,

My daughter is in the performing group also. She is carrying the Oklahma flag. She made section leader & she mentioned something about getting a collar device to wear on her uniform for being 2nd class. Aveo do you know what she means by this? She said there is 1st class, 2nd class & 3rd class. She made 2nd and said that was good.

TN,

My daughter enlisted as an MA. She will be going to San Antonio, Texas for A-school right after graduation. We will only get to see her on Friday! Where is yours going for A-school?

well my husband is e3 already, so I'm not worried about any of that.

I'm not doing much to my hair, but I need to get it colored again.  I'm going to go w/ a floral halter dress (If I can find one) w/ a tan sweater and tan low heal shoes.  Maybe a pearl choker necklace.   I REALLY like this dress, I want something like this: http://store.delias.com/item.do?itemID=55715&categoryID=1831&am...

I want to look really girly and pretty! =D

That dress is GORGEOUS! Your going to look so nice in that! VERY feminine!  He is going to be awfully proud to have you on his arm girl!

Oh thanks guys, but that dress is online only so I don't think its going to be that exact dress, just something like it!  If I can't find something at the mall, then I will definitely order that one =)

YEA!! CALLS!!  I cried! :)
She called her dad and sibs first, as I was at work, then called me at work.. so we ALL got to talk to her!  :)
She sounded GREAT!!  Lots of studying and not much PT.. she said she thinks she gained weight as well and couldn't wait to do some PT.. she didn't pass her running test, but i know as soon as they start the PT, she'll be fine.. she was running it around 12:30 before she left, consistently.

SOOOOOOOOO good to hear from her!  DK, did you get a call????? I will cry if you didn't!  She said she knew Knight! :)

I got my call tonight @ 6:05 pm and was able to talk to her for 40 minutes!!! Her dad was at work and they are not allowed phone calls unless its an emergency!!! I consider this an emrgency but I dont think they would!! LOL She sounded GREAT and did not have any negative words what so ever about boot camp. She did say her bunk mate is injured and was moved and will have to start boot camp over after she heals!! I feel bad for her. My daughter said she is a really nice girl & was sad to see her get set back like that. I am soooo excited for graduation I cannot wait. She said she did not pass the running test though she only missed it by 1 1/2 minutes. She wasnt too concerned about that b/c she said only 8 people passed that test!! I hope everyone got their calls tonight. It made my week!!

jc, my daughter called at 6:05 also, I heard others talking in the background, they had to be in the same room!! My daughters last name is Leahy, Im sure they know each other, it seems like everyone that called was so far pretty positive, my daughter said her chief and petty officers are awesome. She said some of the others get yelled at a lot but the chief really does a good job keeping their spirits up even when they screw up. This makes me feel SO much better. It sounds like he is an awesome leader and is doing a fantastic job with our kids. As a mom, I could just hug him!!

Ash didn't pass her running either, she missed the mark by 3 minutes but she said the chief told them so long as they dont go to medical, he guarantees they will pass it and in his whole time there ony ONE person has failed the test. Thismade me feel so good for them.

Ash did say her chief told her to tell us she may be grad and go and she may only get to spend Friday evening with us... Im sad if thats the case but she is so anxious to move on to the next phase of her life I can't begrudge her that,.

That phone call made my week too! She ssaid they asked the chief if they get a 4.7 on some test can they use the phone and he said yea, "you all get a 4.7 and you can use the phone" So here's hoping they get that 4.7!!!!

Awwww DK, maybe it will come on Sunday, that was the day they were supposed to call. :(  I feel so sad now. {{{hug}}}  It'll come sis, not to worry, I was SO NOT expecting to hear her voice at the other end of the phone, I for sure thought it would be Sunday and she did say they had to be somewhere at 6:40 maybe they just ran out of time.
Hi everyone, I'm so glad there is a site for us to come to! I've enjoyed reading all the posts so far.  DK, I didn't get a phone call either but I feel the same way: thrilled for others to be getting their phone calls. My son was down for a couple of days because of the wisdom teeth.  He also said he had a cavity and can't believe "the h### he puts himself through!"  I had to laugh...we've only been telling him to brush his teeth better every day of his life!  Well, I'll look forward to letters, too.
I'm not sure where they were, my husband said some room to make calls, but I was surprised b/c he didn't have a phone card yet.  he said he didn't need a phone card.

Jc2,

My SR said the same thing about a girl getting AMSO'd. :(
What is your last name, I'll ask my SR if she knows her.. ours is Horst.. She'll probably say, Yes, I know Horst, she gets all the mail!  LOL
