Hi...my son is leaving home on 4/5, staying in a hotel near airport overnight and flying to Chicago on 4/6. Is it possible this is the same group??
My daughter leaves on the 4/4 and will be headed to greatlakes on the 4/5
Perhaps this is the same group, don't really know! It's getting so close!
It may be the same. My son will get to Great Lakes on 4/4 but I understand that girls are not allowed at MEPS on the same days as the guys. I took my son to the hotel tonight. It was tough but we made it through!! Wish ya'll the best!!

My daughter will be leaving on 4/4 to Houston MEPS and will head to Great Lakes on 4/5 It's posssible this is the same group. Good Luck To both our children.

My son leaves 4-4-11 for Meps and will go to Chicago on 4-5-11.  I'm really dreading dropping him off tomorrow morning at the recruiters.

We're carrying our son to meet his recruiter and then going to MEPS in Montgomery, AL, and then will fly out to GL on Tuesday, April 5th.  Hope a lot of us who have sons/daughters who are going to boot camp at the same time can stay in touch.  Good Luck to everyone!!  Anyone else flying out from Alabama?

Wow.....this is exactly what I was hoping would happen......I think we have a group of moms here with kids all going to GL the same time! I will take my son to the recruiter on 4/5, then I will go see him sworn in at Fort Dix in NJ, before flying out to Chicago on 4/6. I can't believe the time has come to say good bye. This is so difficult. I hope we can lean on each other to get through this.
I am taking y son to the recruiter on 4-5 also and then he flies to Chicago on the 6th--the time is here with plenty of tears and hugs.  Let's stay in touch     Sean's mom-Patty   He leaves from jacksonville FL
here is a good group to connect with April DEPers http://www.navyformoms.com/group/leavinforbootcampinapril

My husband shipped out 4/4 to the great lakes from Tampa.   Was overnight on 4/3 and flew today 4/4.

My son went to Milwaukee today to MEPS and will spend the night and then will go to Chicago tomorrow.  I've been cleaning his room today and it's been hard!
