I can't believe how long our phone calls were today! It was perfect timing for me...on my hour lunch break at work! We talked for about 45 minutes!!! He sounded great, joking around with some of the guys and everything. I think the laid-back atmosphere at Recruit Heaven was great for them. Can't believe we have only a few short days left!!!!!!

Yes....it was in incredible day!  Mine even paid to talk on the computer so that he could reach out more. It was so funny.....when they had to get off of the phone for the other division to talk, he simply went to a computer and resumed his visiting from there....then called again, once the phones were free. That was heaven for him. He didn't care about ANYTHING else....he just wanted to communicate with the outside world. LOL  Yesterday was a GREAT day....holy cow and just a few more days til we're flying back to see them graduate. Pray that no one falls asleep after BS....seriously....

Honestly, I think the most important food to mine was "soul" food. It was like he couldn't get enough of our voices....having that personal contact with his friends and family was what that guy needed the most, laughter, current news. OMG.....he was so funny, you should have heard how tickled he was that we had bunnies. I can't wait for him to get that last letter.....there are pictures of the bunnies on it. LOL  (((((HUGS)))))  Come on TUESDAY!

I gotta call to.  I was able call his brother to come over and he got to talk to him to.  They did a 3 way call and were able to get hubby on the phone-he's outta town for the weekend.  He sounded really good but said he was ready for BS on Monday/Tuesday and PIR Friday.  he's definately a gradngo--kind of sucks but what can you do.  We will enjoy every minute we have with him...now what the hell do we do the rest of the weekend???LOL...have a margarita in his HONOR!

Have a great evening and rest of the weekend ladies...only 5 more days.

LOL...you're so funny! Margaritas indeed. LOL  I think they're all more than ready for BS...and graduation....ready to move ON!   LOL  So happy for your phone call!

I got a long call too and his girlfriend. I know he is going to Everett Wa next month and then out to sea. He's made friends and I am so proud of him! God Bless our sons and daughters!

natalena~AMEN!

and tonight our SR's...God be with them all....

Amen B....Amen!!

On the phone with my son right now! 128 passed!!

I gotta a call ane he sounded great!  What an amazing feeling...and hearing the words "see you Friday" never sounded so good!

Life is good...Thank God in Heaven!

EEEEEEEEEEEHHHHHHAAAAAAAAAWWWWWWWWW!!!!   Yeah, LOL, pretty hard to beat this feeling!  Fourty minutes of talk time with me, AFTER he talked to his dad for a few minutes first. Oh he's doing awesome...tired and groggy, but so incredibly content and full of pride and joy. BTW....he said that the weirdest realization for him was this....When he left for BC, he was leaving behind and "losing" all of his friends. Aside from his family, he didn't have any friends. He never realized, not for a minute, that his division brothers were going to be his friends and family. He never realized that he would get so attached to so many people....and have so MANY new friends...can't believe how different his viewpoint is now. He "lost" a few friends, because he "deserted" them and entered the Navy....but gained more brothers/friends, than he ever imagined possible. Sigh.....life is good......can't wait til Friday!
