We want to surprise Molly when she gets back from her vacation by being in the running for a grant from Prilosec OTC.  With any luck we can win a grant outright before her return, but first things first.

We need to get our application and video submitted.

The need is for some emails of thanks from a sailor, marine, soldier, airman or chaplain regarding being adopted and what the packages mean to them and/or the morale of the group.  If you find some that are noted to break out the kleenex, those will work.

We also need pics for the video.  Again, the requirements are the same as above.

Think PASSION while you are looking.  That is Prilosec OTC's catch word for their grant.  Tell us about your PASSION (the troops).  How can we help you fulfill your PASSION (we need money to send more packages).  How does this PASSION effect someone else (the pics & emails).   I think you've got the idea!  ;)

If you have any thoughts or suggestions please add them to this discussion too.

We have a final deadline of April 15th, but we are aiming for Friday, April 11th because they will inform us if something isn't right and that allows us one day to fix the problem.  This grant won't come up again this year so it is a Now or have to wait & hope they do it again next year.

Rough drafts are already completed and being looked over.  You all are needed to help polish it up to a winning presentation.

We CAN do this because we always work together.  And, besides... NAVY MOMS ROCK!!!

I won't put all pics there, but check out MAS FB-under photos/ then Packing parties..there are get pics there....GREAT ONES...you will have your pic of the litter...?? LOL

NYPD, I posted a couple of thank you letters I got on the March adoption pages. Do you want things from us too as far as our passion for this group and what we do?

WOW!!! Look at us!!! I can't wait to start voting! Way to go NYPD!!!!!!!!

SH doesn't have any photos of the hospital we support. We have a photo of what a combat hospital looks like on our SH fb page. I found it on the internet. I can send you that one if you want. The only other pics SH has are from our monthly missions. I have mentioned to our POC that we'd like photos. I guess they can't attach any files to their emails from the computers they use in the hospital, and the hospital's computers are the only ones with internet that they have access to. BUT they did say they will be getting internet for their personal computers soon. Hopefully, we'll get some pics soon!!!

Kimmy, it would be great if you could send the photo of the combat hospital like the one on SH to Nancy.  They are working on the video.  Do you have her home email addy?  If not, let me know & I'll get it to you.  Thanks.

Kimmy I might be able to pull a picture or two out of the video

Lauren,

That would be GREAT, if you are able to do that...send them to me so I can put them on the SH FB page!

NYPD,

I don't have Nancy's home email addy. Can I email you thi pic and you forward it to her for me? I'm REALLY running behind on getting things done before I leave for Nashville and I'm afraid I may not be able to get back online to check for her email addy before I leave.  :-)

I sent the scrapbook with all the past adoption thank yous and pics...  hoping that helps... let me know if you need more!!  I keep putting more and more of it on the web site...  check it out mollysadoptasailor.com
Ahhh--the love just keeps on growing.  All mine have been posted on MAS facebook page and MAS page here, but let me know if you need me to find something for you.
I am going to check out the website since I know Susan has put each adoption there. I have pieced together a 2 minute audio and now just need the pics to go with it. I finally stopped tearing up when Molly was tearing up about the 10th time thru. The end still gets me. I think it will all of you as well once its complete. Will be working hard now to get pictures put together. Hopefully I will show each packing party then a pic of the group that received that month. Will start a special file on my computer called Miss Molly's Opus. I think it will be a fitting tribute to her passion. Keep those pictures coming to me though. Send them to doula_nancy@hotmail.com  put Molly's pic in the subject line please.
Ohhh Miss Nancy, how many pics do you want?  LOL!  Tons can come your way.

NYPD,

I can try to see if Mr. Olley the 88 year old WWII vet that attended our NE Illinois Packing Party could write a little something for the grant? He was so touched by everything we do for our troops and he saw first hand what we do!! Let me know and I'll get right on it...as I leave to go out of town tomorrow until Sunday and won't be able to work on this. :-)
