Hey everyone!
I just got the letter from RTC with Ashley's address and grad date (May 06,2011) Does anyone else have a future sailor on the same ship and division?

hahahaha DK, I wish.
Actually, in one of his letters he wrote to me, "I'm sorry for teasing you all the time."
I wrote back, "Sorry about what? I want details, you teased me about a lot of things!" I'm going to keep these letters and frame them so when he gets out of boot camp and slips back into his old ways I can show him how much he missed me.
28 days ladies, I am SO excited. I keep watching the PIR videos on youtube and its so awesome to watch. The drums are especially amazing. I really can't wait to see it. Isn't it so cool how in only 8 weeks the navy takes boys and makes them into MEN? ...it takes men and makes them into men...I hope it doesn't take women and make them into men LOL. Okay I should fix my statement to make it more inclusive....Isn't it amazing how the navy can take children and make them into responsible adults? There we go =)
Thanks DK!!
Got my letter from my husband, he has informed me that someone in the div got hurt so he has been moved up from being a back up to being the one right up front carrying the Rhode Island flag. I'm very excited because now I will get pictures of him on facebook! He said he accepted the position b/c I told him I kept looking for him on facebook, how funny!
TN I hope everything is okay!
Hey you guys, I got a sailor in this division and had a quick question, since this division is a performing division, I wanted to know if they also have to perform at their own graduation, and if you guys have received any word about what their graduation day schedule will be like if so? Thanks!!!
Hi Mooco, if you look 2 posts above this one, you'll see the graduation day schedule. My daughter says they are performing at their own graduation, I'm not sure if they all do, but she and several of the girls she talks about are. I think they all do, but I could be wrong... Jenn or DKMom might be able to answer better than I on this one...
By the way...welcome to the group :)
Hi Mooco, My daughter is in this same division & is a section leader. She is carrying the Oklahoma flag and she said that they perform for the PIR on April 22nd & the 29th. Plus they also perform for their own PIR on April 6th.
Welcome to the group!!
Okay, because mine said that he does not "do anything" as in the performance parts, but on those days that the others perform he believes he will just have "graduation duties." But he said that he thought that he would get to march in like everyone else in formation. I was just checking in since he said he is not carrying a flag or anything like that.
