I know that Ben will be going to Pensacola and his rate is going in was higher because of his college. I am staying at America's Best Value Inn in Waukegan. I would not miss this for the world. This achievement that our boys have accomplished deserves our respect in so many ways! I think you maybe right about the dream sheet, but he says they told him where he would be going. He may have misunderstood. I have recieved 2 letters, and one phone call. He has tried one other time to call, but I missed it. I am concerned though about the government shut down. Does anyone know if this will affect their graduation? I am so relieved to hear that they are finally becoming a team!
OMG good question about affecting their graduation? I know the pay may come into play but didn't really think about graduation?
Please if anyone hears anything post it!
Got mail today!! WOO HOO!!
He said that HELL week was coming to a close. They had marching inspection in the drill hall - basically 12 min version of our graduation and getting critiqued on it. He said the inspector said "Im the biggest A h**e here and you better be F---ing good or I will just leave!!!" Well they ended up doing "SUPERB" and only got 3 hits! 4.75 out of 5!! (could be CNO GOLD) ?? don't know what that means - maybe I just cant read it but something Gold!
Woo- hoo division 150!!
Said, "tomorrow is 2nd exam and RDC gave examples of test questions then after that hoo-ya fire fighting and gas chamber!!" Said they had pictures today - (I think this might have been written on Tues?)
He then said he cant wait to be able to relax and walk other than on the right side of the room!!
Has anyone else heard anything??
I so miss my son!! Lets all pray that the Government gets it together and none of this effects our SR's !!
Got a letter today also. It was written on the 5th. He said he took pics that day or yesterday from the letter? He wants me to send Info on the lybia issue??? He said they are doing good as a group now.
He said he gets a phone call today? I am waiting. Yes lets pray our kids don't have to suffer from the governments issues..........
I asked him to give me some of his friends names so i could see if any of you are the parents his answer was none of them are on that mom:(
Got that letter Friday written on the 5th. Said he was getting a phone call Friday? No call so not sure if he meant last Friday or next. Short letter so I guess they are busy? Please update any info if you all hear anything.
I am counting minutes now.......
I KNOW SOUNDS LIKE THEY ARE REALLY GETTING IT TOGETHER!!
Did your hubbie explain what the CNO gold was? I didn't quite understand that!! LOL
Did your hubbie mention anything else? I am just wanting more and more info!! LOL LOL
I guess its because they are getting close and I just want to know everything!! LOL
I saw some of you are going to wear yellow scarves...I have this thing about stuff around my neck (probably based on 2 previous neck surgeries and wearing them to cover up the brace), so I'll be wearing a yellow shirt instead. Hopefully that will suffice :)
Haven't gotten a call in quite some time. Guessing that is a good thing then, since no call means she is doing ok w/her knee...or that's what I'm hoping.
jkk, my daughter was also fast tracked, but they told her she won't know her duty station until Pensacola. With the world the way it is right now, I'm very doubtful anyone knows for 100% sure where anyone will be stationed. Not so sure I'd be happy with my daughter being stationed in Hawaii, being how close it is to Japan... but, after all, that is one of the reasons they join the service to begin with.
