Wow, wish I would have found this forum weeks ago.  My ex-husband got a call yesterday from our daughter, who informed him that she failed her run test.  Apparently, she was going to get another shot at it today.  If she passes, then she will be able to graduate on time.  We're supposed to hear something today.  Does this mean that she didn't get to experience Battle Stations?  Anyone know how this works?  Kinda freaking out here.

hi here's hoping she will pass !I hang  in there! Rosemary
I am hoping she passes her PFA also.  Good luck to her! Please let us know if how she is doing.

Hi,

Their Battlestations is Sunday night. I don't know what happens if they don't pass. We got a surprise call today that was difficult to understand but was still great. The connection was so bad I could only hear about every third word. Hope your daughter was successful!

ColoradoMom,

I got a letter from my son dated the third and he said he has been so sick for about 6 days, chills, fever, vomiting and coughing up blood because his throat is so raw and he was to take his first PFA the next day.  If he would not have passed would he have called?  I remember in the first letter we got that was the form letter is said if they didn't pass a test etc. that they would get to call home that day so I am hoping that it means he passed.  And as for Battlestations, my son never has any information about what he is actually doing...LOL...so I am curious about what that is and what happens....does that have a bearing on them passing boot camp?  He is to Graduate on the 15th so I am hoping to hear something definite from him before that so we know whats going on and if we are still to get on that plane...LOL...

Thanks

Carol

Carol,

If you look at the group for 4/15 there is a discussion for Battlestations. I would look at that link. There is a video and other explanations. Its like their final test but 12 hours long! From what I understand, if they don't pass it they get other chances with other divisions but they do need to pass to graduate. Our son hasn't shared many details either but I have learned alot from this site. I would think you would have had a call if he didn't pass? They are scheduled for Sunday night. Keep your fingers crossed!

Carol, that does not sound good has he seen the dr? I hope he was feeling better and passed his tests so he can graduate. Best wishes. Maria

Carol,

My heart goes out to you.I hope they have everything under control for his recovery.  I am sure you would have heard if he had NOT passed or was unable to complete his PFA's this past week.  What a guy to push through after being so sick!!! The link on the BS discussion is really good!!!  It is my understanding that they all have to complete BS successfully inorder to graduate with their div. On our calls I forget to ask details on some things..I'm just so excited to talk to them....and the letters are delayed somewhat so they don't always help either, but I am sure he will do fine!!!  The RTC works hard with the recruits to get them through PIR with their div!!! :)) This site and the FB (if you have facebook) are both really good resources!

Thought and prayers coming your way....Keep us posted!!!

I am sure she will pass next time. The navy will work with her to get there. Best of luck and praying for her success.

Hi there...from all I have read on this site and on the RTC's FB page and their responses. If one does not pass their PFA they have an opportunity to re take it before PIR. Now, I am not sure what effect that will have on her BS. Have you called the RTC and spoke with their public affairs office. I am sure they can answer all your questions and concerns...first hand! :))

I hope it all works out well and we get to see another post that says she is caught up and will be graduating on 4/15 with the rest of Div 134!!!  Best of luck....

Did your daughter pass her PFA? I am still waiting to hear if mime has passed not. Will keep everyone posted. I hope I get to meet everyone at the meet and greet. Hoping 133 kicks butt tomorrow for battle station.
Thanks, everyone.  Yes, I contacted the Public Affairs office at RTC, and got the standard, "You'll hear something when you hear something, Ma'am."  Gee, thanks.  My ex husband understood that he would be called on Friday, once she had re-taken the run test.  He never got a call.  Neither did I.  I've hardly slept since, and I've been a wreck.  I'm assuming that no news is good news, and that she got to participate in Battle Stations with everyone last night.  I'm thinking I should definitely hear one way or another (please, God) today.  Many thanks and blessing to all of you and your children.  Sure hoping the best for everyone today.
