While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

My son was saying the same thing. He said that there are about 20-25 guys that are having a hard time getting it together. I missed his first phone call, but received a 10 min. rewarded call. He thinks that they are finally getting a little better.He has written about 5-6 letters. I am so excited to see him! I know that we all can't wait to give our Sailors a big HUG!!!

No, it was Sun. the 20th. I guess he did a good job polishing his boots and was rewarded a 10 min. call.

Anyone else get a phone call? I did today about an hour ago! Here's what my SR told me from what I can remember:
Div 138 - 4 Flags in the last week. drill inspection, scholastic achievement, general inspection (the hardest flag to get) and athletic inspection. My SR said they have really pulled together in the last two weeks as a group. Because they have won so many flags, they got to make phone calls today.
He said, “This is the most fun I’ve ever had”. He had gotten to shop at the NIX. Bought goldfish crackers, some starburst and something else I couldn't understand him cause the connection on the phone was full of static. He was so excited to have treats, he said he was excited to eat goldfish! He proceeded to chomp down on them while he was on the phone.
The DIV got shots today. Big old milky shots of Penicillin. He said they get two during boot camp and this was the second one.
This last week they did firefighting and damage control, I think. He said they would do battlestations after they do the captains cup. He did say hell week was hell for him, but he didn’t elaborate. He is nervous about battlestations, not sure why cause he had to end the phone call just as I was asking him when they would be processing through BS. 12 minute phone call! YAY!!! -

Yes, I got one here at home for about 5 minutes then it gave him time to call his dad at work. I talked to my husband and he had about 30 minutes to talk. I wished I would have known I would have talked longer. Oh well it was such a wonderful surprise. I still have tears in my eyes
He sounded wonderful and really likes what he is doing. Said it was hard and hell week was tough but all in all things seemed to be looking up. He said that he has only one more test to go. So he has been studying and feels really good about it. He didn't seem too worried about battlestations when I asked so as you said they may have all pulled it together.
I will visit with my husband when he comes home to see what all he talked about. I am sure he heard more.
Only a few more weeks to go.

Angel, I am so glad that your son is more talkative than mine. You have given me a lot more information than he did. He just called also, even though the call got cut shorter than he thought. That is great news. Thank you for posting it! Deb

I am not sure if others are aware that Ship 09, Div 138 will be going thru BattleStations on Monday, April 11. And once they pass then be aware of a phone call to say "I'm a Sailor". So I just want to give everyone in this Div a heads up.
I know I am excited to hear this. The we are heading to graduation!!

How long is battlestations.... just two days? So we hear on Wednesday, the day before most of us jump on a plane? How comforting. not.

No it is 8pm Monday through 8am Tuesday. 12 hours - we hear on Tuesday afternoon....some time after 1p central time.
