Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

My son leaves for boot camp on April 4th. Does anyone else have anyone leaving that day?

If anyone from april 3/4/5 ship date recieves a phone call please post asap!!!!
My son's re recruiter told us to call him in 2 WEEKS to get an address from him!!!! Does anyone know if I can get it any sooner??? Ive been writing letters since the night before he left and I really hope I don't have to wait that long to mail them!!!
Tiffsmom   you can call him for the address. In two weeks you'll probably have gotten the form letter
Thanks....I will try that on Monday

My daughter's recruiter told me to call in two days...she left on Tuesday and I got her address yesterday (Friday)  One of the other girls she shipped out with, her mom got her address on Thursday.  I would call the recruiters office and ask for it. 

I received the letter today with the address and graduation information.  My son is Div 184 and graduates on 5-27-11.
I will definitely be calling first thing on Monday. Thanks so much for that info.

yes my son left on 4/4 also from Ft. Meade in Maryland got his box on Thrusday haven't heard anything else
