That is wonderful news, Shell!  You can do the happy dance!! (DK, you need to post one for her LOL) What a relief that must be!!

Got a letter from my SR yesterday and mentions they're up for testing.  Crossing my fingers.  He also made me laugh..."MOM!I Who is that lady you're emailing?!"  The exclamation marks are his; he just can't believe I'm connecting with people outside about their division.  Ahh, it's so nice to have one up on the young'uns.  He doesn't mention other people much either, darn!

What time is the meet and greet? It's probably posted somewhere here (Just saw it: 6 to 8?). It's going to be close for us. We arrive in Chicago around 6.

DK...Purple People Greeter  HEHEHE

Just keep me posted as to what we're doing so I can be ready too. I am 8 hours away from Great Lakes, if anyone needs anything, we're driving in too, so if you're flying in and forget anything, call me and I will bring it. Just message me and I'll send my number. I wonder if maybe we should make a little "directory" of our info for each other.

I think a little directory would be fantastic!! I am in but i think the info should be sent in private messages like email or private message on facebook.
Am i missing something? What's this about wearing purple? Fill me in!!

DL, that is too funny... you know long after they go off to their destinations, we'll all still be here talking... I almost wonder if we make stronger bonds here than they do.
YEA!! Thats great news!! Will continue to pray for him!! I am on a Relay for Life Team. We raise money for the American Cancer Society. Our team is called the "Saint Michaels Angels". Its our church team. My church is Saint Michaels Lutheran Church. We have been doing it for 12 years. It started when my brother in law was diagnosed with a brain tumor. Non-operable when he was 33. He passed away 3 weeks before his 37th B-day. Then my father in law passed away 1 1/2 years later with pancreatic cancer. Our team has always raised a minimum of $10,000 dollars every year. One year we finished in 1st place for top raiser. We raised $14,000 that year.

Here's hoping and praying your daughter comes to her senses! :)

Oh thats so cool!!  I'm glad they are helping each other!  And wow, so awesome they did good on marlinspike!  Thanks for all the details, I didn't get any letters tonight but I loved hearing about yours, I really like knowing what they're doing!

Deb,

We got 3 letters today! I SO LOVE letter day!  Ash said that she is working on the flag with your son, she said she told him she likes the color blue so he promised her he would make sure there was blue on it somewhere...AWWWWW   he sounds like a sweetheart.

Fred, Anna is teaching Ashley how to speak Russian! It seems like our kids became friends before they even knew all of us were. How amazing is that?

I have a question for all of you... Ashley sent her sister a letter. How should I handle telling her what is going on? I need to tell her something as she is going to wonder why her sister isn't writing and isn't here when she calls, but I don't want it to upset her to the point it effects her performance. Any ideas?  Cheryl... you've been through the worst of these situations... any suggestions?

is there a love connection going on  there? lol

I don't know what to tell you about the situation with your two daughters, that's a tough call, but if she asked then I would suggest telling her something.  Tell the truth but flower it up a bit, you know?
