Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Please note! Changes to this guide happened in October 2017. Tickets are now issued for all guests, and all guests must have a ticket to enter base. A separate parking pass is no longer needed to drive on to base for parking.

Cool! The last week or so I was insanely excited and ready to start my journey, and although I'm still happy about my decision to go, im honestly terrified as well! Lol.

Hi, my son was suppose to leave today, April 18, showed up at 5 AM, told he was being pushed back to April 20. Where will you be coming from? We are in San Diego.

I will be shipping from New Orleans.
Tomorrow I will be in the hotel, so tonight is technically my last free day, so it finally hit my family that I am leaving, so it's been emotional for them.
How are you and your son doing? :)

He is disappointed, as are we. After having a family dinner party for him Saturday night so grandparents, aunt, uncle, sisters and closest friends could say goodbye, and then last night we took him out to dinner, just immediate family. This morning was emotional for all of us, but when he returned home with my husband, we felt deflated. This is the real world, where you must be prepared for change. Good luck to you, I hope you have much success! Do you know what you will do after BC?

Oh my goodness, it's definitely an emotional roller coaster. That's what I'm doing tonight, going out to eat with some family. And then tomorrow my immediate family will visit me at the hotel and then finally watch me swear in on Wednesday.
After BC, I will be going to San Antonio for A-school for hospital corpsman. :)

Wonderful! My son is scheduled to go to Pensacola for A-school. Again, wish you much success, and enjoy your family time tonight and tomorrow. It is a proud moment, I am glad I have two more days with my son.....:)

OMG! Good luck! Lol, your excitement and being scared puts even butterflies in my stomach! I talked to a recruiter yesterday and told him I wanted to join but wasn't ready to put any signatures down on paper so I'm still in the thought process (and the getting semi-fit process). I am mostly afraid of leaving my husband and son but I am also very young and I would LOVE to do something big with my life. My hubby was a former Marine and my dad is retired Navy; I'm totally interested in becoming a sailor, I'm just very scared of not making it through boot camp if I decide to sign those papers!
