Thanks for your prayers everyone! It really is a blessing to have someone to turn to in these stressful situations. I have not gotten a call so maybe he's getting better. They're young, they're resilient, right?  He did mention passing the PT so that's good news.

I will definitely lookout for my purple people at PIR!

Thats what we're here for.  And yes, they are young and resilient, and most people at boot camp get sick I hear.  Close quarters + little sleep + stress on the body = sick.  I hope he doesn't get asmo'd though, I'm thinking of you and your SR!
Remember no news is good news!!! Thats great he passed his PT!!  I am so hoping I get a nice LONG letter from Marissa this week. She promised me a longer letter after her short "lame" letter(her words-not mine) LOL  I got last Thursday!! She said she would give me all the details of last week (hell week)!! Hope your Sr is getting better!! Will keep praying!!
Did you guys check out the new pictures on FB?  I think one of them is our division.
Yes that is our division/ My daughter is the 4th one back on the outside row!!! That is definitely Marissa!!! Woo Hoo!!! I am soooo glad you posted this pic!!! Yea I got to see her!!
I *think* mine is the 5th one after the 2 flag girls.. isn't it awful, it is so hard to tell, but it looks like her face.. but the glasses throws me off.. I know she'll be wearing glasses....  awwwwwwwwww miss her!!

Thanks jc2 , jenn & dk!  jc2, I hope you do get more news...It's always great to piece our information together, a little here, a little there, and pretty soon we have a better picture!  Thank goodness DK's SR likes to write!!

Aveomare: what's that facebook site again?

You guys are an awesome group!!

I think I see my husband now in that picture, but honestly I can't say.  He would be wearing the glasses, and its really really hard to tell who's who.  But its nice to know he's in there somewhere!

So in my husband letters this week he wrote to me that he was doing fantastic, he was in amazing shape and was excelling at all his tests.  I had asked him how awful inspections were b/c I heard they are made to stand at attention for hours, and he said its as bad as I had heard, its painful and boring.  Sometimes it lasts 4 hours.

He wrote to me that he eats very well, and he wrote out what his meals are like, and it sounds like more then he would eat at home.  Hard boiled eggs, cereal, juice, fresh fruit, and sometimes ham.  And that's just breakfast!

He is excited for the gas chamber and nervous about performing.  I have no idea why he's excited for the gas chamber, he's so weird...

My husband also wrote about his friends, he said they were teasing him that he should never get divorced b/c he always asks his friends to fold his clothes and make his bed and he will need a wife when they are not around to help him.    I guess not much changes, since that pretty much sums him up.

The men are made to pee sitting down for the past 2 weeks since they couldn't seem to aim right.  LOL  He says they all joke around a lot together, they are like brothers.  His letters were filled with details finally, I'm glad he got to answer all of my questions =)

Oh and he said IT was torture, they are made to workout none stop until they can't move anymore.  He said they ALL die during IT.

I got a letter from Marissa today!! Finally more details in this one explaining how "hell" was. She said they passed all their inspections. She passed the running part. She said she improved her time by 2 1/2 minutes!! She was 1 1/2" minutes short on the 1st try. She said she went to the firing range & did really well with the 9mm pistol but not as well with the shot gun. Said it was heavy & had a big kick back. She thinks she is going to get a ribbon for the shooting because the guy watching over their booth said she did really well. Not "expert" but did get the "sharp shooter". She sounds pretty good. She now will not have to qualify in the shooting range when she goes to A school for MA!  She said she passed her last test on Friday but their div was having an "off" day and got IT'd for almost 2 hours!! She said she is really excited to wear her dress blues for Friday's performance. But she sliced her thumb pretty bad with her razor and said it's pretty sore but she should be okay to perform!! Woo Hoo she finally has answered alot of my questions!! But she still did not mention anybodys name in her Div.  I was just so happy to hear from her.

Hope you all got letters today also with good news!!

Cheryl

In a few hours we will see the pictures up on FB of our SR's performing!  I am SOOOOOOOO excited, the time just can't go fast enough!  I can't wait to see them!
