My boyfriend left for MEPS on Monday and flew to Great Lakes on Tuesday. I got the 30 second "I'm here and safe" phone call Tuesday night around 11PM. Tuesday was his first official day at boot camp. He'll definatly receive your letters, it just may take a little bit longer to get to him. I got the box with his things in it on Friday (only 3 days after he left). I'm still waiting for his form letter so that I can have his address. Stay strong! And keep counting down the days, each day it gets better and better.

He will get your letters. My boyfriend just finished on Friday and is in Virginia for A School now. I just posted a topic about how I did my letters to him if you're interested.

PIR- June 3rd!

He's Ship 09 Div 192

They cant write until this Sunday, so sometime next week we should get the first real letter :)

I'm glad I found people who have the same dates as me.

USMC- Unless she gets hurt or something happens and she doesn't pass her PT, PIR is June 3rd and won't change. Hope this helps! :)

46 days til PIR!
lucky! i still didn't get the form letter. did he leave you a little note on the bottom of it? i have been reading that many of them do that.. i hope my husband does. i hope the letter comes tomorrow!.. i just want to feel some sort of connection to him, once i have his address i will be able to write and send...even if he can't write back immediately!
There's space for like 3 lines for them to write back. He definatly will. I had the same feeling and when I got the letter today I couldnt decide if I should cry or laugh, I did both. Even though it wasn't really a letter, it took soo much stress off of me. I've been so worried and just needed to hear he was ok and wasn't thhhat miserable lol. Stay strong! I live in MS and the letter got to me in a week. So depending on how far away you are, it will be there hopefully tomorrow or Thursday! Just gives you something to look forward to. And I promise as soon as you read the letter, your whole mood will change. Mine did a 360. Now I'm happy to just count down the days and write in the mean time! :)
