Nancy...no idea.  Jo have the same kind of mail box and I send a package the week after coming back from BESS and he receive it.  I even send it this time priority and shipped Tuesday and he got it Friday.  May be is a good idea if IB go and ask somebody.

Yay!!!! Jo finish tonight ATT.  Ups!! forgot to ask him if he is going to be on hold.

Nancy...I don't know if I mention that after BESS Jo accepted me in FB.  Yay for me!!!!

Penny...How was your trip?

Rose that is great that Jo finished ATT! Congrats!!!!!! It is very hard for me to keep in touch with N when he is back in Groton because he is doing the night school, but when he was home this weekend he thought he would be finishing up this week sometime. He seemed to think that they would be on hold for a little while.

Alex and I leave on Friday for Paris!!!! We leave Albany at 3pm...due in to Paris 8am their time...2am our time. After four days in Paris we head to Madrid! I can't wait! We fly home on Good Friday so we will be back for Easter.

I don't know if I will be back on before I leave so if not I pray that you all have a beautiful Easter...I will continue to pray for all of our sailors...and sailors' families...I know it is going to be so hard to not have N home for Easter! :(

Love to you all!

Penny

Penny... thanks!! For some reason I though that you already went.  Have a wonderful time.  Take a lot of pictures and share with us. ((Hugs))

Hi Groton mom's..I just posted on the main page but I wanted to post a special "hi" to all of you...I feel like I have been gone forever...been alitle "blue" since coming back from the BESS graduation (lots going on family in town, babies being born..I have a great nephew...so cute) I think the combination of lack of sleep and emotions overwhelmed me...but I feel like I'm back on my game.

Sounds like all the Sailor's are close to the finishing point of ATT...good for all of them....has anyone heard from their Sailor's how they thought the class was... meaning...hard, easy, confusing...T just says some of it is difficult but he says he's getting it which I took as good news (he's on nights but has gone to a couple day sessions just to work ahead in case he ran into problems)...I wonder how TECHNO (sp?) will be for them.  Its crazy to think that they have all been in Groton since the beginning of January and they haven't technically gone into "A School" yet.

Penny...have a great trip...take lots of pictures to share

Talk to everyone soon...Love to all.;o)

Nancy.....thanks for the correction on TCNO.  So confused with all those words.  My prayers to IB's brother.  Is always sad to hear something like that and more when is somebody that just start to live.

Penny....I think I can say welcome back.  I hope you had a nice trip.

Have a nice weekend!

Happy Easter Everyone!! Well...of course tomorrow, but I am having a group for Easter Dinner, and I bet I won't make it here! LOL Rose, the boys have the TCNO class together...Yes, I always think TECHNO in my head, but that doesn't help me with the acronyms...can't keep them all straight!! Anyway, was excited to hear they are in the same class, although I guess they only talk "some." It started Thursday and is the day class. I bet you already know this, but I just got off the phone with IB and he told me.

He STILL doesn't have his B-day/Easter box. :-( I am SO sad...He's away from home for the first time missing his birthday and Easter and the dumb Postal Service can't find the Submarine Base... Unbelievable and horrid!!

Rose-your prayers worked...along with his meds which arrived in the mail. But he felt better so quickly that I believe the prayers kicked in before the meds!!! Thanks so much!

Have a great day tomorrow. Are any of us making it to Groton to see the kids?? I haven't heard from Elizabeth as to whether she is going or not.

Nancy

Nancy.... First God we will be there last week of June.  We want to spend the weekend of the 4th of July with Jo.  They have 3 day weekend.  Nancy, yes I know about classes together.  Look like is going so fast for them.  In a way I'm happy because they don't have to be on hold so long but in another way....He was telling me that he think by December he will be on a boat.  That make me a little sad but getting ready (yeah, sure)  for that moment.  We need to keep praying for our boys.  Look like others are making the wrong choices.  I'm always on top of Jo as a parent you have to but of course I know that only God can guide him and he is in God hands.  I always hope that what we teach him, he put in practice.

Getting ready for another week,  almost end of the school year.  This week is a busy one, too many school activities.

Have a nice rest of the day and a nice week.

Hello to all of you and Happy Easter!

Rose, thank you for my welcome home! I had a wonderful time with Alex!!! It was an amazing trip. During that time N graduated and is waiting for TCHNO. He didn't get to come home, but Lori is out there with A and they are bringing N along with them for the day! Thank God for NfMs! N said he still thinks it is a cult, but thinks Lori is great! :)

Well I'm going to go get ready to watch a video with Alex and then think about getting ready for school tomorrow! ugh!

Love to you all!

Penny

Penny -  thoroughly enjoyed having N with us on Easter!  He has such a great sense of humor and is just a wonderful young man.  I am thankful he is my A's friend.  We had a great yet short visit.  Easter was our best day - breakfast, pool and hot tub, movie Soul Surfer and dinner in Mystic.  We found a wonderful, quaint restaurant that was just delightful - Captain Daniels Packer Inn (I highly recommend).  Mystic Pizza was really great but that day it was pouring cats and dogs.  The base tour with A was really nice too.  Now Drew and I are in Niagara Falls (Ontario) and have our last hoorah before he leaves for Army basic training.  Happy belated Easter everyone!  By the way, we stayed at the Best Western right near base.  It was o.k. - the pool and hot tub were awesome.  They had laundry facilities which was great.  They offered a hot breakfast buffet with the room and that was pretty good.  Not sure if I would stay there again but it was certainly convenient, clean, reasonable and the hot tub and pool were worth it for the boys - they enjoyed it!  It was also very quiet at night.  Staff were very accommodating.

Thank you Elizabeth for sending A an Easter card.  He got it the night we were on base with him so I could explain who you were - that was so very thoughtful of you!

Lori...I am so happy to hear he got the Easter card...I'm sure some of the boys think who is this crazy FL lady sending cards...but it just makes my heart happy to do it and I always think maybe they will get a little chuckle or a smile to brighten their day. Besides they are doing such an amazing service for our country I just want them to know how much they are appreciated!!!

((Hugs)) to you Elizabeth!  I was really wishing I would have planned better - I could have grabbed all of our boys on Sunday for Easter - what was I thinking!!!
