This is an awesome pic. That's great that they were able to take a second to show us al how much fun they are having. lol

Great picture in the classroom. Our son Daniel is standing at the top right of the picture. So wonderful to see his face. It's a good day! Now let's hope for a phone call.
What a great look bunch of young men in the 180.  What a clear shot of each of them.  The shot is now my wallpaper.  My boy, also B, is in the middle, tshirt, arms crossed.  He looks so lean and strong.  Wow.  I guess the Navy does make them into men.
Hi all, I was so thrilled to be looking at the pictures today from U.S.Navy Recruit Command on facebook from yesterday April 26th, (which also happen's to be my husbands birthday), and both of my sons were in the classroom picture. My youngest, M, is sitting up straight in the middle, with glasses on, and his brother, P, is 2 rows back, at 1:00, over his shoulder. Also got a brief phone call from P. today saying that everything is going well, other than having a bad cold and missing us all. I'm a happy mom!
Hi laurel, I think my son M is next to your son on his right ; )
I did make reservations at the Ramada, fig hubby would not want to drive to the ramada after driveing from the airport...so just stay there and not have to drive from place to place!

Finally got my first letter from my son (the last one went to dad). He has lots to say but nothing about anyone else in particular. Says they're disorganized and get beat alot because people can't stop talking or won't sound off right. He still has a sense of humor tho. And thanked me for the jokes cuz they made alot of people laugh. Hope you all get letters soon too.

no letters for me today...Im hoping that it is because of the weather that the mail is behind.
Bummer. Mail hasn't come yet. Hopeful.
Julie, I am so happy for you!!!!  Finally, you got your call and it sounds great.  I got letters yesterday and loved the photo of the division.  I think this is finally getting easier?  for our recruits and for us.
I have booked a Reservation at Americas Best Value Inn-Waukegan  it has a shuttle service that takes you to the base.  No hassle with parking, I've heard that it can take a long time to get in when you drive your own vehicle.  I haven't done this before so I can only go by what I've been told. .

I got 3 letters today! He must have been hoarding them. It was interesting to see the progression in his mood...from "get me out of here" (must have been week 2)  to he is doing great and really starting to bond with most of his teammates. He said they got their white and blue uniforms and that they look pretty snazzy.

I was so happy to get letters since I had only gotten one short one so far.

Woohoo! We made reservations at the Residence Inn. They have kitchens and since my granddaughter, pregnant daughter and son-in-law will be with us, it will be helpful.
