Hey all,

I just wanted to post this...  I know it won't make sense to most of you, so God knows why I'm trying.  But I'm going to put it out there anyways, just in case some of you understand what I'm talking about...

We had a talk concerning what items sailors should study when they want to earn advancement.  Well it's easy for them.  It's called the Bibliographies (Bibs).  The Bibs is a like 3 pages of books and manuals that list each rating and paygrade of what items the Navy will test them on when they take the March or September test.  Most sailors never look at the Bibs just because their lazy.  However, a smart sailor will look at them and read the specific chapter of the manual that the Navy will test on.

Since we were recently talking about the United States Navy Electricity & Electronics Training Series "NEETS" manuals, and how most of the CT ratings will test on them.

I went ahead and looked at the Bibs for the August 2011 advancement cycle, for which chapters your sailors should study.  I will list them below.

To look at these manuals, go here >  http://jacquesricher.com/NEETS/

My advise that I can give your sailors is to summarize each chapter for their rating, because they will need it their entire career.  It's alot easier to look at one page of info, vice looking at an entire manual each and everytime to go up for advancement.

Since I feel sorry for the CTM's since they have so many, here is what a summary should look like:

So here are the NEETS for the various CT ratings....

Thank you Craig!  I passed that info on to my CTI3.  I don't know if he will have enough time in rank to take the test but it doesn't hurt to study!!!
Great information, Craig. I teach high school science, and when I admonish my students to study, some will reply, "I don't need to study or learn this stuff, I'm going into the military." If they only knew...
Thanks for this again Craig. My son actually asked for me to send this link to him again last night. Thought it might help him get a leg up as he has finally started ATT classes.
I don't know much about the above, but I did send this to somebody whom might just benefit from this.  Thank you.
