Here is a calendar to keep track of when our loved ones leave for BC June 2011. Stole the idea from the Leaving in March group! I tried to go back through the site to get dates from those posted. Help me keep it updated! :)

Hello ElleBee, I see we are neighbors as we live in North GA. My son is engaged to be married to Amberrose who is also on this website. They are hoping to get married in November but of course there are alot of ifs standing in the way. He is going to A school too in Pensacola so ya'll seem to have alot in common.
He will be a CTT. He is 25 so older than alot of the recruits at his recruiter office. He went to college, graduated then didn't really know what he wanted to do so this has been a process. I think it will be a good fit for him. He met his fiance there and have been dating for five years I think... We love her though and cannot wait for her to be a part of our family. What will your husband's job be?
Wow you do have alot of changes coming! I will be thinking of you and praying everything will go smoothly. The good thing about kids at that age is as long as you are there, they don't mind where they have to move to. I moved a lot when mine were small and it was no big deal for them. I hear the beach is nice. I plan on going down with Amberrose as much as possible. Well actually we will probably meet in the middle. She is in South Florida...they have a long distance relationship for now.
OMG it's almost here June 06.................!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hey Paloma! You are in the same time frame as me..my son leaves on the 7th but I have to leave him with the recruiter on the 6th. I wrote earlier about realizing it too. Nothing like the last month to stare you in the face!
Time is Really starting to fly by now! DS's senior prom is this saturday, then graduation on the 24th, farewell party on june 11th then he ships out june 23rd! Whew! It really kinda hit me on my drive into work today when Rod Stewarts song "Forever young" started playing...yea..got a little emotional!
I truly feel what you're going through, leah...prom also this Saturday, graduation the 1st, farewell the 12th...ships out 15th. I'm making his grad/farewell party DVD right now. He requested I use the song 'Simple Man' by Lynrd Skynrd. Oh, just listen to those words and grab a tissue. It touches me that he likes that song.
Bittersweet is the most fitting word for all fo this. Would you agree that the high school graduation feels so insignificant compared to becoming a man and leaving home a few weeks later?
Where will your son go for A school?
