I think I've seen at least two other moms on here with the same ship/div.

So, here's a group just for us!

Just could not wait to tell y'all--I got 2 letters today.  Our kids have been practicing for their first inspection--it may actually have already occurred.  They have had their swimming test, and they get lots of IT (Intensive Training).  My SR has had to stand watch several times, so he says he's asleep on his feet a lot, but he's made 2 very good friends, and he says the 67 recruits who are still there are COOL!   (some have washed out)  Are any of you the mom of a future DC from Texas or a guy from Philadelphia?

I cannot wait to get home and check the mail!!!!  We are from a town near Philadelphia.  My son is an HM.

Maybe it's him!

I really hope he writes.

Got my first letter yesterday!!  It was a pretty positive letter.  Nothing he didn't expect, so far.  Likes the food.  He's trying to eat healthier!!   Wrote about some kids in trouble and leaving.  I'm so happy!!!!!
@zmom I am trying to reply to your post on my page but the reply function doesn't seem to respond--check your page & see- but I appreciate so much hearing back from you--and any others in 09/190.  They really seem to be doing OK!
slapout: nothing on my page or my inbox :(  I'm sure they are becoming a well honed group!!  We'll be so proud at PIR!

My son called today & I asked him about yours--their racks are right beside eachother & they are "cool." So I sent your son my regards.

I got a phone call too!  Close to an hour long!  My SR sounded good except for a cough-went to clinic and got meds for it.  He 'got fired' from his Yeoman job which was ok with him because it was so much extra work-the guy who took his place has already been relinquished of it too.  He is section leader so I'm sure he and your son will be working together to get things in 'ship shape'.  He was positive but sounded like they need to get it together as a whole so they can all graduate on the 3rd.  He said they would probably be down to 65 soon-It is a different world.  I feel so much better since I heard his voice-he has a letter on the way but I haven't gotten it yet.  He said he hardly has time to write-you know they had to retake a test of some kind-I think they did not get free time this weekend.
Our kids' brother division is 189 & that is who they do Battlestations with.  I think.
My son is 189 and when we get letters he talks about 190 so I think you are right that they are brother divisions. His wife has gotten about 5 letters total and each one seems a little more upbeat. He says the food is good and that he got to take his first long hot shower last sunday.  He said he had forgotten what it was like to have a good hot shower. He said during bc he has realized how lucky we are to have the freedoms that we have as a country. He would love to have some candy!
Hey moms, I got a phone call and a letter today.  My kid says everyone in 190 should get to make a call . . . but they did not do good on their inspection.  He was not too happy at all!  He had his wisdom teeth pulled, got sinusitis, got in trouble for walking on  the wrong side of the street (?) and was generally bummed out.  So encourage your 09/190 kids & tell them this too shall pass--they'll know exactly what to do next time.  I hope.

My son called!  But, both my husband and I missed it.  :(  I am bummed.  I'm not allowed to carry a phone at work.  And my husband was sucked into some kind of drama at work and couldn't hear his phone (on a manufacturing floor).

SR left a really pitiful message for me.  It sounds like he hasn't received any of my letters yet!!

Speaking of pitiful!  My SR reported that they did bad on their inspection and they got an interesting consequence:  The females got IT'd while the males sat and drank water.  I am sure that made for some angry females!  My SR was LLD that day due to his oral surgery, so he was philosophical about it--He's sure the females needed the exercise.  MEN!!!
