Thanks Great!!    I got a call also But I thought I posted maybe on the main page Oops ..My daughter sounded great no regrets also ,, She did say that they lost 15min phone time cause someone didn`t have a boot strap on, they marched half way there then had to march back so the Sr can get the strap and had to sit and wait for 15mins.

Other than that she was good I guess they are still trying to get the team work thing going.. She also said 7 recruits are out already, not sure why ..anyway very grateful for the call and can`t wait to hear from her again !!

I'm glad you got a call from your daughter and that she, too, had no regrets!  My son also told me about several recruits, from their division, that had left...he mentioned that they just weren't taking things seriously and weren't really trying to fit-in...????  Sorry to hear about the loss of phone time and the boot strap problem...but my son only talked for 11 minutes as he had called me on my cell, my better half was not with me to listen-in on the call, so my son said he was going to try to call his dad's cell...but he had no success getting through to him as when I got home I asked if he'd heard from our SR and better half said he didn't hear his phone ring...but he had two missed calls!  That will teach my husband to NOT answer his phone!  My husband was disappointed that he missed our son's call...but happy to know that he phoned me and that all seems to be going well!  I wonder if our SRs know each other.  Do you plan to go to graduation?  How about the "Meet & Greet"?
Ship 09 / Div 189   Received another letter today and my SR still sounds "positive" with the things he is writing!  (YAY)!!!  He said they got to listen to music while doing PT...which was a real bonus, for him, because he LOVES music (the head-banging kind)!  He also said that his "ship-mates" are excited because they know they are 1/2 way through!  He said they had a "P.I." (personal inspection) which was very intense because a commander inspected each SR and asked them either a General Order question or a question regarding chain of command:  My SR said he forgot to button a button, on his trousers, and he forgot to take a tag off of his sea-bag...so he got two "hits" on the inspection.  But all-in-all things are sounding GOOD, for him, so that gladdens my heart!  I was sooooooooo worried about him when he left 4 weeks ago...but he's doing OK and that's GREAT news for me & his dad!   Anyone else here from their SR recently?

Thats wonderful !! Our children are becoming Men and Women !! Last word was her call on Monday but I am still stalking the mail box .. When my daughter called being that her dad and I are divorced. I called his house phone while we were on my cell to make sure he was gonna answer, before Ihung up with her lol. I didn`t want her to lose phone time if he didn`t answer we also live in different states..

Yes I will be @ graduation but I will be landing @ 820pm so I won`t make the meet and greet, I am staying @ that hotel thou.. My Ex and son will be @ the meet and greet I`m so jealous LOL .

I got a letter today.  I unfortunately won't get a phone call from him until the next go around =/.  He had his wisdom teeth pulled on Monday and is SIQ (sick in quarters) yesterday and today.  He missed his call and won't be able to make it up.  It sucks, but what can you do.  He did very well in his inspection also, with only one hit!  They had their first test last week as well. he scored a 4.8 out of 5 and was appointed EPO (Education Petty Officer) I'm really proud of him! He's not enjoying BC as much as some of the others seem to be. I really hope that changes sometime soon.  He was too told they were looking to get rid of a few more...

Has anyone else NOT received the form letter with all the graduation info and all that jazz? It seems like everyone received it in week one/two... but it is still not here for me.  What should I do if it doesn't come soon?

hey brettany

I got the letter the second week he was there and he is in the same ship/divison as your hubby.  Id love to talk to you sometime my hubby got to call me on this monday.  he said mail is going in and out everyday.  he also did good on his test. 4.5. Im on and off of here all the time.  my name is Charlotte and my email is djsgurrl@yahoo.com.

Sounds great!! I will email you when I get off work! =)  I bought my pane ticket,  car, and hotel last night! Are yuou going for graduation? If so, where are you going to stay?
Hello 09/198,I haven't been on her for awhile..But I have been reading everyone notes, Well I received 2 letters from my daughter the first letter said she was OK but BC is like prison and its hard .She say she past her swim test on the first try which was the main thing she was worrying about before she left for BC.. she failed her first PFT, But her commander said she still did good not to worry you'll past it.She said they work them out for every little thing..Looks like everyone of them have the same comment on that line lot of PT. In her 2 letter on May 27th she had all 4 of her wisdom tooth pulled and she thought she was going to die!!!She say she get to carry a flag a PIR because she is the shortest in her div. She say her glasses are awful..and if you knew my Lil princess she's a dress up doll...She don't like looking funny...The great thing was I got the Letters but I missed the phone call I had Jury duty and on this day they made us go into the Jury panel and immediately turn off our cellphones when we had our first break I turned it on and my daughter had called me.I cried in the inside the rest of time i was in jury duty...she was very upset because she did get a chance to speak to me..but she did sound strong..I take my cellphone everywhere and never turn it out i wanted to scream so loud in the court..but i didn't want to be charge with content...So for this whole week I've been in a slump...But I'm thankful to rec'd my letters because I have mailed her several letters... In spite of all this I'm excited about PIR our SR are at the halfway mark and June 3 is on it's way..I will be making the trip...I will be there on that Wednesday Night and leaving that Monday unless my daugther is a Grad-N-Go She in as a Hm and will be going to San Antonio for school I,m so glad about that because thats a 4 hr drive from our hometown..See everyone soon! AND HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY to all the N4M"S

Sorry you missed her call .. hopefully you`ll get a call soon.. My daughter wrote about the glasses too,

She said she looks like where`s waldo. she lucked out all she needed was a filling done ..I did notice from other comments that they pulled alot of other Sr`s wisdom teeth.. I wonder if thats standard practice I find it abit odd myself.

Happy Mother`s Day stay strong were almost there !

Thanks Reenis35,Have a Happy Mother,s Day

Thank You .. And to you as well !! who knows maybe we will get a call tomorrow !! fingers crossed.

I finally got a phone call yesterday! It was AMAZING! We actually got to talk for an hour and 2 minutes! They didn't even tell him to get off the ohone, we just did so that he could get to bed.  He spent the last few days SIQ for getting 6 teeth pulled (4 were wisdom teeth). He is Grad N Go and has to be at the airport at 2am on Saturday morning.  I found out that I haven't received my form letter because it has been returned to him twice so far saying that my address was not a real address... but I have received all of my letters from him so far.  That's okay though!  They lost 3 more yesterday.  2 for medical reasons, and one for making a racist comment (she was sent back to P Days).  He was made EPO of his division (Education Petty Officer).  He has received the highest test scores out of his entire division.  I am so PROUD of him! He says it's difficult though and does not like all the IT and PT.  He also said that next week was "Hell Week" and that he was not looking forward to that.  He has made some great friends and loves to talk to the other married guys. Overall he is doing pretty well which is definitely a relief to hear. I am so proud of all the men and women in his divison. All the divisions for that matter. I know it is something I would never be able to do, so I do my part by supporting my husband =).  Thank you to all the mothers for raising such brave and selfless children!!
