Hey Patty - I think I corresponded with you once before and you told me that your son is in AV also in this division..........am I remembering correctly?  I didn't receive a letter last week, but my son's girlfriend did.  He said he only had time to write one letter so he asked her to relay the information to us.  He said in his letter last week that things were still tough.  I was hoping by now things had gotten somewhat better.  He says there are too many chiefs and not enough indians in their division.  I think some recruits try to boss other recruits and he wishes they'd tend to their own business instead of worrying about what other recruits are doing.  I hope for all their sakes they learn to pull together as a team because I know that's what the Navy wants them to do.  My son says he keeps quite and stays to himself as much as possible.  He said he tries to be invisible.  He's only received one phone call home which he made to his girlfriend on April 27.  He's ready for boot camp to be over......and so am I!!  He said he found out for sure that he's going to A School in Pensacola, FL.  He said three other guys in their division are also AV and he hopes they all get to go to Pensacola together.  He also said he's a grad and go, so I guess that means we won't get to visit with him as long as we'd like to after graduation.  Do you know if your son is a grad and go?

Claudie

I am not sure if my son is a grad or go or not.  He is going to pensacola though---for AE school. My son has met some that are going to Pensacola so that is a good thing!   I just want the day to get here so we can see them.  Hope all is well with you!  Do you have all your travel plans made?  Patty

Good morning! the last letter I received was last week as well.   Beat down, I believe just means they had some IT (intensive training) and were the RDC really come down on them harder than before. I am really curious to see if they are coming together as a team yet?  has anyone heard??
Thanks for the info about "beat down".  Do you know if all divisions go through "beat down" or is that for the divisions who are in some kind of trouble?  Do you know what "hell week" consist of?  Do you know when they will be going through Battle Stations 21?  Hope they all do great!!  I hope they are coming together as a team!
Any news on Battlestations dates from this division?
Yes..in fact you already posted it for 186 in the battlestations discussion LOL  It is May 26th
still not 1 phone call from div 186 and it's almost pir?
Same here. No phone call. :(
My son is also 186, he was able to call on April 27th for 15 minutes. From what I was told and/or read this division had lost their calling privileges. Then they had a test and anyone with a score 4 or above could earn one call back. Another mother had posted on here that her son wrote saying he got a 3.7 and wasn't able to call. It's going to be okay though...no news is good news! You'll see yours in 16 days!!  Now that's better than a phone call!
Hi!! Yeah my son got a 3.9 and he couldnt call either, that ok though. I agree no news is good news, especialy when you read posts of people with shin splints and mono!! I have been getting mail, typically on either Thursdays or Friday's so that is when I tend to run to the maibox the minute I get home :o)
No phone call from my son--so I am going with the fact that no news is good news and he is on the mend!  I want a call but at the same time they do say no news is good news!  He is in 186
Where and how do we order the gate pass for PIR? I saw it on here somewhere, but can't remember where. Thanks!
