haha swim. Talked to my D on the phone tonight and he received all 4 packages that I mailed to him. I sent 3 boxes of clothes/personal items that he asked for Friday and a box of cookies Monday. He got them all yesterday...cookies are good, but a little stale, so they are looking for milk. He wanted the personal items, but said not room for much more. So the mail service is pretty good. He said there was a bad storm last night and had not seen lightning like that before. Also said his suite mate (next door) moved up to B school so he changed rooms/dorms (whatever they call the living space)...Still not sure when EM's start class, but doesn't appear to be this coming week. Seems pretty good so far.
hey goliathmacdog, it sounds like the EM/ETs may all be together since I guess they are
learning the same things for awhile..?? I know they are all enjoying the cookies from home. I have one small package to mail today, guess he won't get it until maybe next Monday...
all I can say is that I love ALL you guys for being there for me. Someday, I want to grow up
and be just like our youngest (10) with disabilities, one of which is Down's Syndrome. He loves everyone, unconditionally, without restraint, regardless of race, social status, religion, or anything else. He greets everyone enthusiastically, lovingly puts his arms around their neck, and just hugs them.
I'm thinking of letting him loose in Goose Creek in the dorms when our Sailors are about 1/2
way through school..they'll need a hug by then!
Please, just be yourself in this discussion group. No pretense, no judgements, just put on your
fuzzy bunny slippers and kick back, and we'll love you for who you are... :)
Penny,
girlfriend...should I add u to our list up top? Just so the other MM moms can see where you are in the "pipeline"??
p.s. one of my favorite stories about our little guy...we were sitting in Church near the back pew. He got bored and decided to take things out of his backpack and got out a fresh "pullup" and was turning it around in his hand. He was sitting on the other side of my hubby, so I didn't worry about it. A few minutes later, my husband nudges me to look at him, and he had stretched the pullup onto his head to look like a chef's hat! ROFL...I was in tears, along with everyone around us. I turned to my husband and said, "well, at least it was a clean one, RIGHT?????!!!!"
