No, he's SECF.  He's going to basic submarine school next.  Then he has 3 schools after that.  It's going to be a while before we ever see him again.  Congratulations to you; you get to spend 4 days with your new Sailor!  That's awesome!!!

Ladies-

I have talked so much about everything on different groups and websites that I don't even remember who I told what to where!!!  In case your SRs forgot to mention it, our division is tied with Division 183 for "Hall of Fame" division.  I don't know exactly what that means other than they've earned all of their flags, their inspections were good, and they passed their academic tests.  The "Hall of Fame" division will not be announced until PIR.  Please join me in praying for our SRs who have worked so hard and come so far.  Together they have succeeded in becoming a cohesive team.  Do not forget to burn your blue candles for Battle Stations!!!

Wow!  Thanks for the info!  That is so awesome!  2 weeks to go!!

hi i dont know anything about 'hall of fame ' tell me about it...

Awesome news!!  Will pray they win the "Hall of Fame" division.  My daughter says they are doing very well!!!
Anybody get a phone call today?  I'm guessing not.  It's 4:00 CST and he has never called this late before so I'm guessing our next call will be after Battle Stations.  What a bummer!

Good news ladies!  The division we are tied with for Hall of Fame (Div. 183) is an all male division.  We are an integrated division.  That means we will NOT be going up against each other during Captain's Cup!!!  I didn't realize that Captain's Cup counted for Hall of Fame division as well as everything else.  Hooyah!!!

Do any of you ladies live up north?  I'm from south Mississippi and it is already getting hot and steamy over here.  I've been looking at the weather in Chicago lately and it seems to keep going from one extreme to the other.  Is the weather always like this in the north?  I didn't realize you could go from the 80s to the 40s in one week (during the day).  I know that nights get cooler but that is some crazy weather!  How are people ever going to be able to figure out how to dress????  Guess I'm just going to freeze because I plan on bringing summer clothes and wearing them with a sweater.  I am NOT wearing winter clothes to PIR.  Hopefully I will wear something very bright colored so my son will be able to see me as soon as he walks in!!!!!

Proud Navy Mom,

I'm from Northern Illinois and our weather here is very unpredictable.  Not only can it go from 40-80 in one week but we've had weird weather do that in one day.  I do have to admit though we've had a very cold, and rainy spring this year and it's not usually this cold.  The farmers in our area are about a month behind in planting their crops but it looks like about 75% of the farmland is planted now because we had two warm days last week.  I recommend that you bring a light jacket and dress in layers.  The graduation is inside so it shouldn't be too bad.  :-)
