Cait, Do you know when our SR's do Battlestation??
i dont im sorry! I would like to know though if anyone knows!
Well, I noticed today on fb that some people were getting the "I'm a sailor" phone calls, and they're looking forward to Friday, so I guess we should be getting ours Mon or Tues!!
Uh Oh - I just made my flight & motel reservations yesterday for the wrong date?? My son is ship 11, div 183.  PIR will now be on Thursday morning instead?
Yes, they gave them the wrong date to put on their form letters so it is the 26th, not the 27th as originally told
got my first group of letters today! he is writing to me EVERY NIGHT! you guys have no idea how happy i am right now

Yeah Cait! That's great news you're starting to get mail!  I can't wait to get home and check the mailbox after work today now!

Oh yeah, I know how happy you feel because when I finally get some response from my son  I'm going be relieved and ecstatic. You are so lucky he has been writing to you everyday. I guess they have some free time after all because I heard someone say they can't write often in boot camp. Tell us what you can, does he like the experience so far. I'm dying to know anything, just like you Beth I have been stalking the mailbox.  I have to say this is my favorite discussion area  because it gives me strength  to bond with others who have loved ones together with my son. You can't imagine the comfort I feel to be able to reach out to people especially Ship 11 Div. 183 family.  This group is a bond which is helping me adjust to my son making the decision to leave. This has to be the week we all hear from our loved ones and I will let you know when I hear from my son.

Thanks and be well,

Lisa C.

Morning Lisa,

Thats exactly how I feel!   I was just writing to David this morning and I told him how great it feels to be talking to other Ship 11/Div 183 moms & girlfriends because we're all missing and loving and praying for and pulling for the same group of guys!!  In the meantime, this group of guys are bonding and growing and becoming men together and I haven't felt this good in 15 days!!  I hope we both get a letter soon!

Beth

Thats wonderful Cait, hope he and all the other of 183 are doing well, can't wait to get a letter also, I am glad that I have an extended family, this site helps alot, thanks to everyone for keeping us all sane :)

amen!

We just made our reservations for the Comfort Inn for about 180 dollars for 3 adults. It seems like a good deal. We will be driving from New York City a 12 hour trip, I'm not looking forward to 12 hours in a car but its cheaper then flying. Started my diet today so I can look nice and healthy for my son. I know he's going to look so handsome in his uniform.
