Re: attention to details-- very true! Michael didn't get into specifics (he takes the security/classified info really seriously) but he said that the exams weren't just about getting the right answers. Each step and process were reviewed to make sure they came to an answer in a very specific manner.

How are everyone's sailors doing in the 2nd week of class? Any word on graduation date yet?

So far so good. Mike is counting down the days til they all reach Phase 2! Next week is apparently going to be a tough one with exams, PFAs, and inspections. As for graduation, he is guessing some time in August for MMs. If that's the case that would mean some time in November for Travis?

When he was in bootcamp he got soft orders to start school 4/25 and grad 10/7.....so if I bump it back two weeks since he started two weeks later, it would be 10/21.....but no official word yet!

Travis has been putting in a lot of long study sessions so far....glad they're taking the workload seriously!

Long study sessions indeed. Between watch quals, homework and study hours, Mike thinks it's a great night if he's back in his room by 10!

I talked with my son about an hour ago.  He is spending lots of time studying.  He is EM and he said they have a test on Friday.  Good luck everyone!

I also asked him about graduation and he said it is Oct 14.  My son said this one is not a big deal but I told him we would come anyway. SC is a doable ride from MD!

Thanks Linda! My boyfriend is an EM also so they're in the same class! Good to know when the graduation is :) And I plan on going, too!! How did your son do on the first test? Hope the second one goes well for all....
