I Know what you mean.. Charity's A school group hardly has any posts! :( I miss the daily interaction!
I miss it too. Marissa graduates June 30th from A school. She is trying to narrow her choices for her 1st permanent station to either Georgia or Washington!! I was hoping to hear from all of you after bc but not much posting her either.  :-(

Well, we can't let our little group just fizzle, Ashley's A-school ends June 30th also and she is told she may be sent to Milan! Eeesh, Im not sure Im ready for that!

How's everyone doing?   I'm in school until the second week of June and then things should start to calm down a bit again. The weather here in east TN sucks! Rainy and cold... I cant even get out into the garden... :(

I miss you guys... is this after BC blues??

Hi Div 925! I'm answering some N4M mail and thought I'd check in on your group. I guess your grad was a couple weeks ago, so hopefully you're hearing from your sailors regularly now. What a difference a text or phone call can make to fill our hearts! I felt the same letdown about a week after grad. because the stress was over, the excitement had calmed down, and then you feel, "That's it?? I went through all that...and now...?" Take heart, it's natural after any huge event to feel kind of lost. Remember high school graduation, or during college orientation when you wondered "Who am I now?" and have to start over? Your friendships from N4M were not wasted, they are what sustained you through that time. Wondering together, comforting each other, celebrating 4 lines of text on a form letter, passing a PT, finally getting a phone call, BS, then graduation. Most people will never have the joy of experiencing the bond of sisterhood with TOTAL STRANGERS after going through boot camp as moms/wives & even a couple husbands. Try to keep in touch, give updates of what your sailor is doing so you stay connected. It won't be the same intense, multiple daily posts that you probably had during bc, but you CAN stay connected. You can celebrate with each other as your sailors move on to new schools and eventually ships, and who knows when your paths might cross?  Also, try to be the connecting link for other moms at wherever your sailor is now. Not everyone had the experience you all had together, but it takes someone to step up and reach out. There will be new moms/wives coming behind you at whatever A school your sailor is, so be on the lookout for them as they feel sad and lost in their new phase. If your new group pages aren't posting much, maybe you can get the ball rolling. I bet there are new people who find the group but don't want to be the first to post, so just read it and give up. Ask a question and see what happens!  Hope you are all doing well. My son is at Great Lakes for A school (AECF - FC) until the end of the year, then will be in C school for another 6 months, probably in San Diego or one of the VA schools. I live in PA near the NJ/DE border if any of you are near there. AVEO how's that baby boy doing?

Take care!

Hi White Clay! Our son's are in the same area! Is that Advanced Electronics, Fire Control? (what's the CF for?) Gosh, I love that kid of mine, but I could throttle him! I never really know what's going on.I have family in the PA/NJ area and MD.  Although, I don't think I'll be in the area this year.  How do you feel about the tropics :)  We should PM our last names LOL! Funny, how used I got to that.  I met a young lady after graduation and she asked me my son's name. My husband (newbie!) said his first name, I responded with last name (seasoned mom)! She knew exactly who I was talking about. Ahhh.....

I have 4 so if you want one I can mail it to you. Just private message me on facebook your address.

Hello sisters!

I hope you all had a marvelous Memorial Day! Having our own in the Military, gives a whole new meaning to this day. I mean, it was special before, but now it's extra special. I am still in awe of the fact that I am the mom of such a magnificent creature. I can't help but look at the PIR pictures and video every day. It still makes my heart sing.  Boot camp days were so bitter sweet, weren't they?  I almost miss them, although I know our sailors don't!

Ashley got her verbal orders last week, she is headed to Yokosuka, Japan!  It was her second choice - Australia was her first. She'll be coming home in a couple of weeks to spend a few weeks with us before she heads out.  We are planning to go and see her over there in January when Louie gets his winter break.  I promise to post pictures when we go!

Because we think she'll be home for 4th, we're going to combine out annual 4th of July bash with a coming home/going away party. I've been in the planning stages for weeks!  I am looking forward to it and I so wish you all were closer, I'd love to have all of you. Remember, if you're ever in the Gatlinburg TN area, CALL ME!!

Other than that, all is quiet on the home front. Our youngest daughter still has not made contact and It's getting easier to deal with. She did reach out to my parents, but she is still with the loser boyfriend. Thanks to her stupid choice, I missed her prom, and she did NOT graduate as scheduled, she was 2 credits short... my heart breaks for that part, but she is learning her lessons the hard way.

I miss talking to all of you every day. I know life goes on, but it is nice to see when someone posts and we all connect again even for a few minutes... no matter what, we will all be bound together by Div 925!!  I love and miss you all!

Shell

Hey Shell!
Great to hear from you!!  WOW, she knows where she is going so soon? How long was her A School?  Charity is in VA for A and C school, it will be well into Sept/maybe even Oct. before she is done and has her orders. She is dealing w/some issues w/the males in her school. It is 5 females to 20 males and it seems like they are harassing the females, from what Charity is tellign me. I told her that all 5 need to ask them nicely to stop, or they'll report them for harassing.  She said some of it was being dealt with today and that they were in fact looking into that.  UGHHHHHHHHH.. aren't we all adults now, why must they act like immature boys?  5 of her classmates got into trouble for underage drinking, being drunk and not showing up for muster over memorial day weekend... Seems like the freedom after bootcamp is more than they could handle.

I am hoping it goes better for her, she has a long haul left in school.

Everyone keep updating! I MISS YOU ALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I never thought I'd say this, but I BC days!  LOL
Jenn

Jenn!!

I miss you so much girl!! I was just looking at pics from graduation the other day and came across the ones I took of you. I really do miss boot camp days LOL.   Ashley's A-school was only 5 weeks, she is in a PS rating for 14 months, then her rate is being given to civilians so she will re-rate for Gunners mate of CTT, whichever has more openings, they put this in her contract so, she is going to go to Japan for 14 months and enjoy it while she can!  She also had some trouble at A-school, she has been running a fever since leaving boot camp, and when she left boot camp she was DOG SICK, she is still not feeling well, they found out yesterday that the merana(sp) birth control they have her on, it;s one of those "inserted" kinds I guess, has caused an infection... I am SO not happy about that. I;ve heard so many horror stories about that crap, but she said they told her it would stop her monthly period and thats why she chose it, they gave her antibiotics yesterday.. FINALLY!!

I am sorry to hear Charity is having trouble too... it seems that the guys are a little out of control once they leave boot camp. Ash says the guys at Meridian are pretty wild too and as a result the same 5 people in her group get stuck with watch almost every night.. she is totally exhausted and got yelled at for falling asleep in class which is SO NOT LIKE Ashley! She finally went to the PO1 and told him  that between the watch, the class and being sick, she can't take much more, he said he was unaware of what was going on and would deal with it, this week was a bit better for her.  She should be finished with the course by end of next week, then home for 3 weeks, then off to Japan.

Even she says she misses boot camp.

I so miss hearing from all of you... How is summer going at your place? How's the garden doing? This is the first year I;ve expanded and done most of it myself and I have to say, so far, I'm doing pretty good! LOL The chickens haven't started laying yet, but I understand within the next few weeks they should... I'm excited!   We had a TON of strawberries come in and I ended up preserving about 22 pint sized jars... first time I;ve ever done that! They came out DELICIOUS!!  I noticed the blackberries are getting ripe now, so I'll try that next LOL...   Let me know how things are going on your farm! I love hearing about all that!

{{{hug}}} miss you sister!!

Hi ALL!

How's everyone doing? How's everyone's Sailor doing?  Have you had a visit yet? We probably won't get one til Aug.. only if she has a few weeks in b/t A and C school.. if she doesn't it probably won't be til Sept/Oct.  :(  She is doing great.. the boys harrassing the girls has been nipped in the bud, for now, at least.  She's just plugging along and getting good grades and busy!
Miss you all!! :)

We received my son's "grad packet" letter and it says the PIR date is May 4th 2012. My son is assigned to Ship 2, Division 925, graduating May 4th 2012, is there another group to join for THAT particular grad class of May 4th, 2012?

If there is another group for Ship 2, Division 925, graduating May 4th 2012, will someone please post a link to that group for me? Thank You!
