I'm glad hes getting better! such a bummer that they didn't have his paperwork correct. That can be so frustrating. Hopefully they'll fix it soon because E3= more pay and privileges!

My SR's mom and I are driving from southern Mississippi. 15 hour drive! It's gonna be a lonnnng day!

@ littlemiss-Not to butt in on your conversation I`ll be flying in from Fl.. what airport is your son flying from?

oh my daughter is in ship 09 Div 189.

My son is flyning from JAX airport
Oh ok I'm fly from tampa !! Thanks
You are welcome.. Are you nervous about flying or nervous in general? Or not nervous.. just anxious.. lol
Just very anxious .. I`m sure like every other family member here .. LOL
Oh thats right I forgot you are from Mississippi.. sorry.. that will be a long drive.. lots of chewing gum while driving.. helps with sleep problems.. Hope to meet you

Hi everyone! Just want to introduce myself. My son is Ship 09/ Div 192 PIR 6/3/11. I joined this site before he left for BC but wasn't able to find his exact group here until last nite when mmiles pointed me in the right direction. (Thanks!)

I was waiting to book a flight & hotel until more was clear about leave & taking off to SC. The last letter I received said he's "grad & go."

I see some Moms here have recommended booking through as late as possible on Sunday just in case they get enough leave. Are you guys doing that?

My SR's mom and I are staying through Sunday night for that exact reason. Although our SR will most likely leave on Saturday, we didn't want to take any chances of missing any time with him. We can always sight see on Sunday if he has already left. Hope this helps!

PS- I don't know if you have booked a hotel, but the Navy Lodge is $65/night--no tax

Thanks for the info. I went ahead and booked through Sunday following your lead. I've heard good things about Navy Lodge, but I had some points built up with a rewards program- so I went with Homewood Suites in Lincolnshire & got a rental car.

I'm burning my blue candle now! Love that idea. :)

Welcome BeccaBee.. I don't get home until after 7pm est so naturally don't have a chance to get on here when all others are on.. I'm staying at the Red Carpet Inn 1 mile from base..

littlemiss how you been doing?  I am so excited.. we are in the single digits now.. on the main sight they said 185,186,187, and 188 did BS ahead of time along with 2 other divisions scheduled to PIR this Friday.. wow.. Actually on another site I was given a tour if you will of BS I can let you know if you'd like

BOTH of you and anyone else who'd like to see it
