no call and we haven't gotten a letter this week either?

We haven't received a phone call yet, either, but I'm thinking it will be any minute now...maybe wishful thinking!  Another mom, from another division, said her daughter called yesterday at 3:45 PM to say she had become a sailor...and that most of her division was calling at that time as well!  So it's getting close to 3:45 PM (Central Time) now...maybe the call will be within the next few minutes!  I can't wait to see a "post", from someone in DIV 189, saying they received the "I am a sailor call"...then we'll know that our call should be coming momentarily!  I hope when my phone rings it is my son...and not some other stupid phone call!  I'm sooooooooooo READY to hear my son's voice!

I feel your pain, I've been sitting by the phone all day, Brings back memories of when I was single waiting for a boy to call LOL! And of all days, I seem to be getting a lot of telemarketers calling...grrrr. I'll post as soon as my boys call.

Cher11  That's exactly right!!! It DOES bring back memories of when I, too, was single and waiting for a boy to call!!!  Only, back then, you never knew whether they would call, or not!  We KNOW our SRs are going to be calling us...any minute now!  Luckily I haven't had any telmarketers, or any other ding-a-lings, on my phone...it just plain, and simple, is not ringing!  But I have faith it will ring SOON...just not soon enough!  I, too, will post as soon as I get THE call!

Yay!!!!  just got a call but I can barely hear him. He's going to try another phone to call me back!!! He said it might take awhile. It's a realllllly bad connection. So get by your phones everyone!
I got a the I'm a Sailor Call at 3:45  "I am a proud Navy Mom!!!! Hats off to the Div 189.
A Grand Hooray to Div 189 for Becoming a US Navy Sailor.. My daughter is a Sailor..I got my call at 3:45 p.m..Congrats too All !!!!!
Got the Call Well done Div 189 see you 6/03...
Got call my SR is now a Sailor! Hooyah! Sounded delirioius but said it was fun.

Just got his call! He starts out with, "I really need to tell you something" and he's sick so it sounds like he was crying... then he continues with..."I got kicked out of Battle Stations last night. Two guys next to me fell asleep and they got kicked out. Since I was next to them and didn't wake them, I was kicked out too. They said I wasn't being a team player! I am pushed back two weeks. I can't talk..." I started to cry a little and said "It's okay I'm proud of you anyways, I love you." Then he says "JUST KIDDING I'm a Salior baby! I love you!" What a punk! lol but it was nice talking to him after that! lol  I'm glad to see he still has a sense of humor after all this time! (Even if I didn't find it too funny! haha)

Then he tells me... "I'm so happy right now, I'm sittin here talkin to the love of my life while eating beef jerkey!" lol

He did say the 3 guys got held back for 4 days because they were rough housing! Hopefully none of them were from our DIV!

My son is a SAILOR!  We got to talk for 45 minutes and he sounded awesome!  Bretanny...my son says he knows your hubby...but he called him by a nickname:  Says your hubby is "cool"!  My son, too, was eating "spicy" beef jerky and was excited because they let them go to the NEX and buy whatever they wanted for snacks!  FIRST TIME to buy their own snacks since they arrived at BC!  He said their RDCs are being courteous, and kinder, to them...and things are very relaxed right now!  He said he was very tired but he sounded quite normal and eager to talk!  I asked him him maybe they might let them "sleep-in" tomorrow...and he chuckled...but really gave no reply.  I am sooooo excited about next Friday I could POP!  And my sailor said he's very excited about seeing us!  Congratulations to DIV 189 and all the new SAILORS!  Hooo-rah!
Finally got a good connection and talked to my Sailor!!!! Had a nice long talk while he drank the Red Bulls he bought at NEX! He was tired but excited. Unfortunately my other son was trying to call at the same time. I guess they were separated into different rooms. He is a Sailor too....Yay! Congratulations DIV 189!!!!! My son told me their division flag motto is "Like A Boss" ??? Does that make sense to anyone? He laughed and said that it's from a song. Bravo Zulu to all the Div 189 sailors and their families!!! See you on Friday!!!
