Hi, I'm looking for any other families who have someone on Ship 09/Division 205.

Got 3 letters today - from last Thurs., Sunday & Memorial Day. They had holiday routine on Sunday & Monday and he said they got some much needed rest.
He said he was told that JUNE 14 is BLUE CANDLE NIGHT! (Don't know if I can say the other since people have gotten in trouble on the RTC page for telling what, when, & where)
He said Hell Week wasn't really so bad, just the Rack Inspection. They did shooting last week.
We can do this! (I think) Two more weeks.
A Letter today, too! So happy! My SR is a "stick" too KrisMom. haahaaa.
They are hoping to get a couple of more flags (Marching flag and Battle E flag).
Marlinspike and weapons training sounded really cool and he really enjoyed them as well.
Yes, we are so close!!! Time to go buy the blue candle;)
Got a letter Friday that he wrote 5/25 & 26. Short, as usual, but good to hear from him. Talked about the small arms training, also, and that live fire the 26th "was really fun". He was so pleased he had passed the running portion of PFA. Praying that time stays below that 13:30! But in his words, "I have cleared my biggest hurdle" so I'm thrilled he has the confidence that he can maintain that time. Said marlin spike was "chaotic fun". You just have to know my SR!
Wonder if the dates mean he didn't know what date it was or that he wrote some more over the weekend. I DOUBT IT! : )
I'm just thankful he's doing so well and having "fun". Who knew!
Oh Cindy, so glad to hear he passed his running. All those prayers helped. I told my SR to pace himself so he doesn't get hurt before the end but I am sure they will go all out for the "Cup" on Saturday.
They must have all liked Marlin Spike! Have you gone on the BS site on here & looked at the USS Trayer?I It is going to be like they are in a movie.
Are you going to the Meet n Greet at the Ramada the night before? Would love to see you. I'm getting in early Thurs. so will have lots of time on my hands. If you still have my number & want to, call me when you guys get in.
Hi everyone, I hope you're all doing well. Only 10 more days, and I can't wait!!! I received 2 letters on Friday dated 5/26 & 5/29. He was talking about Hell Week and their 18hr. day. He said he hates and loves bootcamp, it just depends on the day. He said the days are moving faster and the RDC's are getting more laid back. He really just wants to sleep in. He said sleeping in till 9 would be a treat, especially since he would sleep in till 12pm. LOL
We will be staying at the Ramada also, so hopefully I will get to meet you. We also have a very early flight into Chicago on Thursday.
I printed out my Pass today so it looks like were in the home stretch ladies!!! I hope you all have a wonderful night and I hope to talk to you all soon!!
The pass is only if you are bringing a car on base, right? I am actually staying at the Marriott Courtyard but am going to Ramada's Meet n Greet. Marriott has a shuttle to PIR so I am taking that. Guess we will have to get up at "0 dark early"
I wish the RDC's would get laid back enough to let them have another phone call.
See ya soon.
Can you believe we're getting this close? I'm thankful your son is a writer since mine isn't! (And others in our group.) I think our SRs got in a really great division with some awesome RDCs - or maybe the div is so awesome b/c it's got some great young men in it (and a few little older guys!). Who knows, just thankful they've come so far so well and it's nearly behind them.
A great day to all!
