I was shocked to receive my form letter so quickly - 4/25.  Then his box came on 4/27.  I was hoping maybe they got to write on Sunday and we would get letters today - but, nothing in my mailbox.  Has anyone else from this Div heard from their recruit yet?  Let's hang in there!  Wouldn't it be nice to hear their sweet voices on Mother's Day?

I was shocked too. My SR left on 4/19, received the 'kid in the box' on that Friday 4/22 and the form letter on 4/25.  Would be wonderful to hear his voice on Mother's Day. Waiting patiently for mail or calls!
Hi TomMom - I laughed out loud at 'kid in the box' - that's great!  Haven't heard that one before.
Tom/Mom 2/931, my SR also left on 4/19 from NJ.  We got our box and form letter on the same days you did.  When our daughter called on 4/19 to say she had arrived safely (that was about all she had time to say as she only had 30 seconds to talk), she did let us know that she could call again in 3 weeks.  So, I'm hoping that they'll let the SRs call on Mother's Day.  Normally I don't take my cell phone to church, but she did tell us that she's going to call on my cell so I'm thinking it will be a Mother's Day call.  That would be the best MD gift we could all receive!  Thanks for starting this group; I look forward to connecting with all the other 02/931 Moms.
Hi All! My daughter left on 4/19 from ID, but she flew out of UT. Her flight was delayed several times due to weather in Chicago, but she finally arrived late that night. We received the box on 4/22 and the letter on 4/25, also shocked to receive so quickly. Waiting anxiously to get mail but would love nothing more that a phone call on Mother's Day! I have not dared to hope so as not to be disappointed.

our son has the same PIR but we still have not heard anything besides the 10 second call when he got there and the form letter with his 4 lines on the back.  i know how you feel.  and yes, i too, missed receiving a call on mother's day.  :(

happy mother's day to you anyhow!

Yay!  I got a 30 minute call tonight!  Had his wisdom teeth pulled Tuesday but is doing OK with that.  Had a bit of a cold going on.  He told me a lot of what they have been doing.  It was WONDERFUL to hear his voice.  I hope others get calls too!

Good morning everyone, I just wanted to let you all know that some of your recruits were in a parade yesterday. A N4M friend who ordered ribbons for her son's PIR a couple months ago contacted me. She is from Milwaukee and she saw them in the parade and she sent me this message:

'I was hoping that maybe you could let everyone in that group (Div 931) know that I saw some of their recruits yesterday.  The drum line & a few others were in Milwaukee for a parade.  They looked great!!!  I spoke with 1 of the leaders (I forgot the abbreviation) to get the div # & let them know that they looked, sounded, & did great!!!

I took some video on my video, but it will take a few days for me to get it to you for posting.'

So, as soon as she gets this video to me I will post it for you all to see. I am happy she is able to do this and that she took the time to let me know about it for all of you :-)

Oh, Lala!  Thank you so much.  Please thank your friend. Can't wait to see the video.
I actually just got a medical separation and 931 was my division, so if you have any questions about how boot camp REALLY is, or you want to know about your SR, feel free to send me a message!
How long ago did you leave the Div. My son just went into that div last week, he was in div 930. Did you get to meet him? Sorry to hear you got a medical seperation I hope it isn't serious.
