Hello well today is the day the day I have so many emotions Yesterday we had a special time in our church service it was very emotional for all. I am having such a hard time right now I not even sure how this whole thing will play out.today he had to be at the recruiters in three hours and of to GL tomorrow.  We having breakfast with a lot of the family something I really didn't want to do  I just wanted him to myself . It is selfish i know but I can't help it in three hours he will be on his way. but i know that i have to let him go the way he want to go so here i am pouring my heart out here as I can't let him know everything i am feeling I am so gratful for N4MS It is good to be able to say this to other who are in the same boat (funny) at this same t time Good luck I hope you all have good departures I will let you know how well or not so well I do.
theraysmom, I will be praying for you also. I know how hard this is even if there are others of us "in the same boat." I know how glad I am to have found this group and I know you are too. Keep us posted on how things are going and stay strong.
I just read your post and felt my heart breaking for you. I know he's already on his way so I hope everything went well. You are in my prayers.
Lisarobin, I know you are already gone so I will be praying for you and your family. From reading your posts I know you must be a strong lady! It's so tough to know what to do. If you don't go to the swearing in you feel cheated and if you go you feel like you are prolonging things! I think you made a good choice. Thanks for sharing your experience with us!
Hi...my son leaves June 21...if you could add us:)
Welcome momma'o. My son also leaves on June 21! Today we are going to set up his NFCU bank account and then work on packing/cleaning his room. I may be in there for awhile! If you don't here from me for a while I may be trapped in the laundry room! :)
Thanks for the welcome! :)
The room is on the list this week...and a farewell picnic on Sunday.
Share any treasures you find while cleaning :)
Got you added, Momma'o!  Welcome to the journey.  It is amazing all of the support that is given by these great ladies!
Thank you!already feeling the love:) so much info and support...it's so nice to read all these comments. I looked at my calendar this morning and just took a deep breath.:)
Unfortunately, we won't be here when my son leaves. It appears the neither my son nor his recruiter know they're numbers :). We were originally told he was leaving on 6/11, which I thought was strange being a Saturday, he was at his recruiting office with some other recruits, looking at their dates on the computer when the error was caught. So we will be in the Keys, with our daughter who is attending camp down there. I told him I would fly home for the day, he hugged me and said not to do that.... Just don't miss graduation!

I thought I was okay with this...now I'm not so sure....

jma1216 - my son actually flies out on wednesday but we said our goodbyes yesterday.  He's spending today with his girlfriend - who is having a hard time with this.  He goes to the hotel tomorrow then leaves the next day.  He didn't want us to be at the swearing in - too much for him on the way out.  I believe that where or when you say your goodbyes is not as important as them knowing they are loved and supported.

Good luck to all of our recruits leaving this week, as well as us moms.

I agree, it's not important where you say goodbye. We've been sort of saying goodbye for a while now, it's more a transition or a process. Although we plan on going for swearing-in, I think I would be ok it he didn't want us there. But I agree...don't miss the graduation.
