Finallyyy the recruiter called me back....He is ship 3/division 235! Im sure we will still have the same graduation.

That's great.  Yes, they will graduate 7/29.  Now time to start those letters.  It means a lot to the recruit to hear from home.

So out of the loop as just returned from my dad's funeral in the midwest.  The box was here when I got home...not sure when I recieved it.  I left Saturday and returned today so not sure.  Don't know if she will graduate 7/29?  Did you all get a call from the recruiter or an email?  I did have a certified slip for a letter when I got home...did your letters come certified?  Dying to get an address.....thinking of all of them constantly!

So sorry you lost your dad, Kathy.  Having Kelly just gone must make it extra tough.  I will keep you and your family in my prayers.  I'm pretty sure Kelly will graduate 7/29, though technically we don't know until notified (and even then we are warned not to make reservations that can't be changed).  I contacted my daughter's recruiter by e-mail and he sent the info back to me.  I don't think they will do that unless you ask.  You just need the ship and division and then you can get the address from the RTC web site.

I have heard that the information you get from recruiters can be wrong, so I am keeping copies of the letters I send Charlotte, just in case I find out I'm sending them to the wrong ship.

It's tough having our kids gone, like this, but we all know its for the best in the long run.

Ruth

Sorry for your loss!  We received the box on Tues via Fed. Express. I contacted his recruiter two times asking if he has the ship/division number to no response. I guess no news is good news. Waiting anxiously for the form letter... hopefully today!
Yea!  Got her address. Laura...I called my recruiter and he said he was just just going to call me.  Maybe you can call? She is Ship 11 Div 238!  Just a quick question...he told me to write it just like I did above....I notice you all put  / and wrote out division...does it make a difference?  I asked him if I should put a / in it and he said to only put a space.  Probably does not make a difference?  Laura...let us know when you find out!  Thinking of you all!
Hi :  Just waiting for the mailman today! I rushed home from a work appt. to stand post at the mailbox!  Still no reply from his recruiter.. I think he might be out this week. I too am interested in knowing how to address their mail.. does anybody know the specifics on addressing envelopes to our recruits?? thanks!!
Charlotte and Kelly are probably sharing sleeping quarters even though they are in different divisions.  Units with girls are mixed and they put the girl half of two units in the same room and the boy half of the same two in another room in the same ship.  Sleeping quarters are for 80 and units are 80 (more or less). Since they are 237 and 238 in ship 11, I think they are probably in the same room.

This site tells you how to address the envelopes: http://www.bootcamp.navy.mil/contact_recruit.asp

How do you all know the PIR will be July 29?  Did anyone get form letter yet?  Our recruiter told me 9 weeks and that's not July 29???  Laura.....anything yet?

It does vary according to when they arrive.  Others that arrived the 31st and 1st are getting the July 29th date.  We won't know for sure until we actually have a letter in hand.
