Does anyone have a son/daughter in Ship Hipo3 Div. 235?  If so, I would love to hear from you.

My husband in ship3/div 235. I have already received his box...just waiting on the form letter!
Thank you for your reply. I didn't get a box because my son wore things he was willing to donate. I am still waiting on a letter too. It is good to know that I'm not the only one waiting for the form letter. Have you received a letter from your husband?

What job did your husband sign up for? I am wondering how they assign them to a particular division.

Are you from Dallas?

I have not received a letter yet. I am hoping to receive the form letter tomorrow or atleast sometime this week. I am not exactly sure what he signed up for but I know that he is an E-3 and going to A-school in Pensacola.  I think he might have picked airman.  I was wondering the same thing about how they put them in the different divisions.  I am actually not from Dallas haha! I am from just outside Indianapolis  What did your son sign up for?

Did you write to your husband?  I wrote to my son but have not heard from him.  I guess no news is good news.  I think my son is an E3 too.  He signed up to be an Operations Specialist and will go to A-school there at Great Lakes.  My son left on May 26th for boot camp.  Did I read that your husband left on the May 31st?

Are you driving to graduation?  Did you make hotel arrangements yet?  I was going to but think I better wait for the form letter to confirm the graduation date.

Yes, I promised him I would write him everyday. I just put them in the mailbox this morning to mail them off.  His recruiter gave me his address earlier this week so I could send my letters.  I heard that they won't be able to send out letters til this Sunday, so depending how close you are to Chicago it might be a couple days til you get it.  Yes he did leave on May 31st.

I am currently 32 weeks pregnant and if graduation is on the 29th falls the week before the baby is due. ughhhh So I am going to be cutting it close on whether or not I will be able to attend graduation.  I told him I would try my hardest and as long as I was not in labor I would be there.  His mom and I are planning on driving up the Thursday before and staying at a hotel. I am not sure if they have booked the hotel room or not yet.  I am hoping I get the forum letter tomorrow. I have found 2 other people that have fiances in their division that have received theirs.

It is really tough being pregnant and not have him here. I think it will get better once we get their letters and maybe a phone call.

My son said he could call in three weeks which will be the 16th.

It seems strange that divisions have people arriving at different times.

Congratulations on your upcoming delivery.  Do you know what you're having or will it be a surprise?

You are definitely in a different situation than me; I am sure it is hard.  Once the baby arrives, you will be busy and the time will go by quicker.  My son is continuing to mature; he is going to be 22 the end of August.  How old is your husband?

I know I did find that odd that some of the people in his division arrived at different times. I imagine they were trying to fill it up, and not many of them were arriving all at once.

Thanks you. We are having a baby boy. We are super excited. I have 2 younger sisters and all girl cousins, so this will be a new experience for me.

My husband will be 24 in November, and I will be 23 in October.  We both attended Indiana University, and with the baby on the way he decided joining the Navy would help. Plus since he has a lot of college credits already he was able to start out a little higher, which it sounds like your son possibly did.

I am extremely proud of him and can not wait for graduation as I am sure you are too.  I think it will be a very pleasing adventure for the both of them.

My husband is going to be going to A-school in Pensacola. Do you know where your son might be off to after Bc?

Thank you.
I think my son may have had to get his tonsils removed which may have prohibited him from starting boot camp right away; maybe that explains why he is in this division. Does your husband have his wisdom teeth?

I have twin boys. Do you have a name picked out yet?

My son will stay at Great Lakes for A-school. I visited Pensacola one time and it was very nice there.

Did you get your form letter today. I have not been home yet to check the mail yet.

Take care.

I bet that would set him back. Yes he does still have his wisdom teeth. They grew in fine and the dentist didn't want to remove them, but the Navy might think other wise.

I have always wanted twins. ha But twins don't run in the family. I think we decided on Blake for the name. It took me forever because I couldn't seem to fall in love with one.

That won't be much of a move for your son to stay at the Great Lakes for A-school. A friend of my sisters that graduated last month from BC is in Great Lakes for A-school.  I believe he is training to be a seal, going through the BUDS program. I have an aunt that lives about 20minutes from the base in Pensacola, so that will help us out. It is a very nice base down there.

Unfortunatley, I didn't get the form letter today :( Im really hoping it comes tomorrow. I hate going this long with out any contact. We have been together for 6.5 years, so Im just ready for some kind of communication.

Did your form letter come?

Yeah!!  The form letter came.  He even wrote a few lines.  It turns out that he and many others were sent to boot camp a week early.  Maybe since my son was there early, he completed his paperwork prior to your husband.

My son is interested in the seal program also.

Now the fun (not) begins with making travel arrangements.  I am going to fly (15 hours one way is just too much driving), but I might have to wait to see how much time he can spend with us to see when I will return.  I'm thinking Sunday or Monday.  I also have to decide on a hotel.

Blake is a nice name.  I didn't pick my sons' names until I saw them.  I also had trouble finding a boy's name and I had to come up with two.  A lot of mothers of twins pick names with the same letter but I didn't.

Take care.

Well I just got an unexpected phone call from him. Which I would take over getting the form letter any day. haha I guess they lost my social security card and our marriage certificate, so he was able to talk for about 10mins.

He said that everything is going good, just really tired. They are swimming tomorrow and should be getting our letters on Sunday. He also said that he has been writing me, and they should be sent out on Sunday as well.

It felt sooo good to hear from him. The past two days I have been gloomy...but that was enough to bring me around until I get the form letter and his letters.

My husband was also interested in the seal program, but with a newborn on the way and being married he said it would be too hard for him.

Hopefully they are all hanging in there and once they get our letters that will help them out a little.
