Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed.  Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.

**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.

**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:

In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Hello everyone! My son leaves on June 22. I am excited for him and all that awaits him, but I am also heartbroken and going to miss him so much! I look forward to meeting and connecting with other navy parents!

This is a great idea, thanks for posting it. Our son arrived at Great Lakes on 6/7.
so glad everything went well for you and your husband......i have less than 24 hrs now and im starting to feel it .....we dont have a time yet his recruiter told him he would recieve his call tomorrow and he is then to come at once .....dread is setting in i have even tried to talk one last time him into changing his mind lol to no avail so i will be proud and happy for my son....good luck and hope all goes well for you

The sendoff picnic yesterday went well. Lots of hugs and well wishes. Somehow the 21 is right around the corner...how'd
that happen? Im on this site all day long..reading,listening,and learning from all of you.
Off to take my youngest to school....Im thinking of everyone and where theyre at....:)
My son leaves tomorrow!
Hey ya'll!  Just wanted you all to know I got my son's "Box" today. My husband just called to let me know.  It will be one week tomorrow.  As far as the form letter goes, haven't gotten it yet but I called his recruiter today who gave me his address and said it should be right.  I'm going with it and try to send out one before 5:00pm today!
congrats....thats what i have to look forward too now...keep us informed pls
