Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

So far so good. Class A average today is 3.3-3.4. Mike's doing well and is on voluntary study hours (means zilch since he's still putting a couple of hours a night in homework, practice quizzes, and studying). As for Class A, he says everyone's improving and that no one has failed an exam since the week before Memorial weekend. Just one more test, a PFA and then they are in phase 3! Oh, and yes -- heading back to the low country for the 4th of July weekend!

Travis' hours were reduced as well :)
Awesome that class A is doing so well.... and yah, crazy, phase 3 next Friday! Our boys are getting through this!
And where is the low country exactly? haha

Seems like 4th of July is a big travel weekend for Navy guys in school....hope your son gets approval Linda :) How far are you from Goose Creek?

I think we are about 8 hrs away. It is driveable, but not something I want to do on a short weekend. We are definately going to go to the A school graduation.

Awesome. Is class A expected to phase up today? Class M's Chief has been busy with other things so they didn't have their PFA or room inspection this week....not sure if that means they won't phase up till next week? Doesn't seem like too much of a difference from phase 2 to 3, other than bragging rights :)
Can you believe class A only has about a month and a half left? Crazy!

Yup- class A phased up today. I don't think anyone is Mike's class failed the PFA or inspection, so I hope that means everyone made it. You're right-- no big difference other than overnight liberty on weekends. I can't believe it's going by so fast! Hope all is well with you and Travis!
