I received my form letter yesterday.  It was wonderful just to see his handwriting.  He has only been away for eight days, but it seems much longer.  Looking forward to graduation.

Hello, it seems like we have some in common, my daughter just left also a week ago and I just received my letter as well , she is also in Ship 09 Divison  239.

Looking forward to graduation.. Good luck

Have you received a real letter yet? We haven't.
We received the letter from our daugher on Monday June 13th.  It was her dad's birthday so that was a great present.  I agree, just seeing her handwritting made me feel better.  And it hadn't even been a week since she left.  She is in Ship 9 DIV 240.  I was very excited to find out her graduation date especially since it was a week earlier than I anticipated.  It's been good to be future focused by making hotel, car and airline reservations.  I'm so excited about seeing her graduate!!
I received his form letter, but not a "real" letter yet. I was hoping for a call today since it is father's day but not sure the navy will see it that way. I have been working on our graduation trip also.
I cannot see our son writing long informative letter but a mother can always hope.

I also have only received one letter, and most admit that seem her handwritting was very emotional. Today is father's day and it is also her 20th birthday so I'm very emotional today , and to be honest I EXPECTED a phone call, She is ship 09 Div 239 also with a PIR OF 07/29/11. In the process now of getting hotels and flights any sugestions....

I haven't made mine, but someone told me that the hotels are already booked. So you may want to starting looking for one.  I plan to work on it tomorrow.
Thanks Tyler's mom , I will work on finding a hotel as of  today. I guess Meet & Greet will be at the Ramada Inn, 6-8 pm. since that is where they always have it, so if I get a hotel near by I may attend.
I havent got a real letter yet either. My daughter is ship 09/ div 240. Im kind of sad that grad is a week earlier, her birthday is aug 5th and i was looking forward to spending it with her! But glad i get to see her sooner.
I feel the same way. I had a vacation already planned way before her PIR,  I had to change all my plans, of course I'm so happy to see my daughter a week earlier she is in ship 09 div 239.. Did you find hotels yet?
I got my first phone call last night about 6 pm.  (6/28) My son sounded really home sick.  And he said they pulled his wisdom teeth!  But he is doing OK, and is looking forward to the end.  He said approx 4 of 80 have been sent home  (09 / div 240)
I heard from Tyler last night also.  He sounded the same way.  I cannot wait to see him.
That's odd.  They pulled one of my son's wisdom teeth too.
