Hello, my husband is part of the 248 Divison. Have you received any letters from your SR yet? I have only received the form letter from the Capatin and am not so patiently, awaiting his first letter.

Who do you have aboard??

I havent received a letter but i have mailed several!  I'm not sure how long it will take to here from him.

I have heard from several people that they received their first letter yesterday or the day before....so I am hoping to hear something today or tomorrow. I too have mailed several letters since receiving his address.

Hey, i'm a very proud mother of a young man w/a PIR date of 08/05!  I received the form letter last friday and was so excited to hear from him.  Even if it was just three lines!

Hi Laura,

My son is also in this ship and division, so I guess they now know each other. I also received the form letter and his box of personals, but no other letters yet. I'm holding to, no news is good news.

I got another letter today, and I have to tell you my heart about leaped out of my chest. I opened it only to find it was juust information about obtaining a military ID and my new insurance....grrr...why do they keep teasing me with my husband's handwriting o the outside of the envelope?!?!
my son is on ship 9 div 248, no letter or call as of yet!:(

Amanda, my so is also there, no lettters (other than the form letter) and no calls yet either, keep us posted plz and I will do the same :)

my SR also arrived 6/13/11, and I also was surprized that the grad day is the 5th, i figured the 12th or 19th! Will deffinately keep u all posted if I hear anything!
no mail today :(    6/27.
My husband left the 13th as well. His recruiter told me that they were a "rush division" whatever that means. That is why they are able to graduate on the 5th instead of the 12th. Whatever it means I am just happy I get to see him one week earlier!!... Still no letters or phone calls yet :(

my son left on the 13th.....i was thinking the same thing as all of you that he wouldnt graduate until the 12th but the letter did say the 5th.  That works out great for me because i teach school and won't have to take personal days for the wk of the 5th.  I still havent received any mail or a phone call :(  will update when i do :)
