I don't know if any of you saw this link that was posted on Facebook - it is a CNN report on Battle Stations - I thought it was very helpful (and emotional) as we think about our guys!
http://www.cnn.com/video/#/video/us/2007/07/18/oppenheim.navy.disas...
I watched this during the time my son was in DEP and then again recently. It's a helpful piece that shows us what our boys are experiencing. Serious stuff. May God keep them all safe now and in the future.
Hooyah!!!
Wow! That was pretty realistic. Thanks so much for the link.
I got a letter from my SR on Thursday saying his shoulder has become a problem. I can only hope and pray he can hang on through Battle Stations! It is going to be a nerve -wracking couple of days until we get the call. I did not hear from him today after Captain's Cup. I hope he didn't call his girlfriend first and run out of time again! We have not gotten a call since the "I'm here" back on May 5th! :(
Hey Group~ I did not receive a call Sunday eithers, so sounds like our guys did not get a call.
I did receive a letter on Saturday. He stated they were told to write on Tuesday?? Anyway, he sounded well and was ready for their upcoming events.
I'm all packed and ready to go; I just need Thursday to get here.
Are we all still meeting at the Ramada Inn Thursday night? I am brining the poster board with our ship & div. so we'll know were to meet up.
Hopefully, we will get a call this afternoon from our new Sailors!
Definitely, we will meet up at the Ramada on Thursday night. I'm looking forward to that!
This is such an exciting week!!!
How am I going to concentrate at work for the next 3 days, I have no idea!
Never thought the 8 weeks would actually pass this fast!
WooHoo!!!
