Definitely flying....it's about an 18 hour drive!! It's a short trip, but I will take whatever I can get :) :)

Haha I know what you mean about jinxing....walking on eggshells sometimes, don't want to disturb the good flow!

Well that makes the countdown to August so much more bearable :) Have the most amazing time/reunion :)
Thank you :) Can't believe its less than 12 hours away now!!!

Test on Tuesday, 7/5, for Class A :)

Crazy- just under 1 month left for Class A graduation.

Here is the run down of exams:

Next Wednesday, 7/13

Thursday the following week, 7/21

Friday the week after that, 7/29

then Monday, 8/1, the week of graduation

They also have a PFA next week or the following week . Those who pass will be E4 by graduation and those who don't will have to retake and get their E4 rating after graduation (I don't really know how that works).

Hope everyone had a great Fourth of July!! Stories!!!

My son came home for the Fourth of July and it was so good to see him!

What an awesome picture - LOVE all of the Navy gear!!! Hope you had a wonderful visit, I'm sure it was nice for him to get a break from Goose Creek :)
Nice color coding, Mary!!
Haha thanks!! You have to check in on this group every once in a while when Mike is on t-track, it's soo quiet here, I'll be almost alone without your comments haha

You bet!

How was your weekend with Travis? Did he get homesick when he went back to SC? I remember when I first visited Michael in May, we were both so bummed the next couple of days after I left. It took a good week for us to feel like ourselves again. This time around, it was pretty painless. I guess with his graduation coming up and another visit to look forward to, it doesn't seem so bad anymore!

Oh, make sure you and Travis go to O-Ku sushi on King Street when you visit. They have happy hour which includes half price cocktails and sake and half price sushi-- soooooo good!

Oh and another thing-- I got engaged!

:)

Oh my goodness!!!!! How did you save that little tidbit for the end?! How exciting, awww congratulations! <3 When/how? So great.... any idea when you'll tie the knot?

My weekend with Trav was great, and yes we have both been missing each other big time the past week, little bit easier now but today is his birthday and I hate not being able to be there for it! Hopefully next year we can be together for both of our birthdays!

And thanks for the recommendation - I LOVE sushi :)

I hope Travis had a great birthday. How did he celebrate it?

Mike took me to Magnolia Plantations on 7/2 and proposed to me there. Fitting, considering that Magnolia Plantations was where we first met (at my cousin's wedding a few years ago). Got down on his knees, pulled out the blue Tiffany's box (explains the lack of splurges post boot camp-- no new tv, no new car, no new anything), looked at me with that mischievous grin, and popped the question. I nearly fainted from jumping up and down nonstop and saying yes (it was hot and humid after all). Incredibly memorable moment!

We're looking at a date in December as for a potential date. It will take place in Charleston.
