Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

What are all your SR's in for, mine is in for the Nuke Program.
stll no mail....nor phone call....still waiting somewhat patiently :)
Who is planning to go to PIR ? and maybe the meet and greet ? And does anyone know which airport is best to fly into ? Trying to make plans and I know nothing about the area.
we are planning to go....i have already reserved rooms at the Ramada Inn, they have a meet and greet thursday evening, prob fill up quickly, my husband says O'Hare is the best to fly into. We are taking a road trip from NC to there and gonna make a vacation out of it. My husband has family in IL.
Good news ladies...my mother in law received a letter for our SR today. I am hoping that I have one in the mailbox when I get home! It was dated for the 26th so it looks like it only took a few days to get here. Keeping my fingers crossed for everyone!!
got my first real letter today...very happy....my SR sounded good, says theres up days and down days, states chow hall is the bomb! :) having some issues with the div working together so has done some IT...lol. But all in all he sounded well!

We got our first "real" letter yesterday, also dated 6/26, it was an awesome feeling to finially know he is doing good and sounds upbeat :)

My SR's 21st Birthday today....hoping to get a phone call soon.
Happy Birthday to your SR, he is a week behind mine (in age). I hope we get calls soon also, we have been in the same time line so far, so if you get one so will I :) I hope you had a good day.

recieved my 1st call this evening, son sounds great, actually enjoying bootcamp! :) He was non stop talking :)
Mine too. He kept changing subjects so fast it was hard to follow! lol The only time he stopped talking was when he started crying after our 2 yr old yelled 'hi dada' into the phone!! So glad our son was there, so he got a chance to talk to his dad. I know he misses him so much too!!
