My son's recruiter picked him up from his dad's house in AZ Monday (6/27) for departure to bootcamp on 6/28...I have no idea if he arrived...what ship, division, or any other info as to what to expect...I live in California and was not there to make sure he has stamps, phone cards etc...feeling very in the dark (and a little apprehensive) ..I'm not even sure what I should be waiting to hear...any advice...

It will have the password that you'll need to download to get your parking permit.  If you don't get get the password, it isn't the end of the world, but without a parking permit you will want to stay at a hotel that has a shuttle service to the base (there's usually an option 2 if option 1 isn't working)!  Many of the area hotels do provide shuttles.  Good luck!!
My son went the same day. He called me that evening to let me know he made it alright. I just got his box of personal items today which included everything he had on him except his wallet and glasses. We should be recieving a letter by next week that tells us his group and division and I think their address too so that we can start to write them. I am sending in the first letter I send some stamps and a calling card. (Patti)
Thank you for the info re: the Password...His Dad called me yesterday and said Dillon called, was in  high spirits, just exhausted from lack of sleep..and I asked him to copy all correspondence and mail to me, so I should be up on what's going on soon
Kimberley; For what it's worth, my daughter left for boot camp the same day. I have not heard from her either. I received "the box" last week and we are hoping to hear something this week. Hang in there!!

We will just have to keep each other informed then!!

Cirossland,

Hope all is well got you,

Have you had any word from your daughter? My Ex said h'd sent the letter that came with his box to me..but I'm not holding my breath. He also told me the graduation would be Aug 6..which seems awfully early to me DO you know her Training group and division number yet?

thanks!

I'm trying to track down his recruiter to see if I can get some straight info!!

No, he claims he hasn't received any mail at all except for his box with his flight info from when he left...

says he has no information at all...yeah..I know...sucks but I guess that's how he wants to play

Yeah...I had actually thought we were in a good space as well, but unfortunately, he seems to think otherwise...sad really...
