There were many NUKES in the Centennial PIR.  You ladies (and gents) were a blast!  Lets keep the fun and support going as our sailors move on in the Nuke program.  Happy chatting.

Haha. I'm flying up there for sure. I'm not one for road trips. Plus, with gas and the fact that I'm in school I can't take the extra days off for travel. I managed to get no classes on Fridays, but I have two on mondays I can't avoid having.

We are *fingers crossed* wanting me up there around August 20th. We are just waiting on a start date now so we can see if that's possible. I move into my dorm the 23rd, and class starts the 28th... so after that it get's tricky.

Saying a little prayer for ya...my toes are crossed too :)
Thanks(: The guy at basic told Grant he would start phasing up the day he got there, so we were shooting to have me out there like the first weekend of August/last of July. I was actually looking at flights when he called and said he got other news... not fun. I'll get out there eventually. Also, they get 10days for christmas, but he says it comes out of their earned leave.
Happy to hear your sailors have made connections.  Mine still seems to be keeping to himself, sorta.  He doesn't have a roommate and every time I talk to him, he seems to be doing something with someone different.  He seems to feel like he's the baby of the group.  He joined just after he graduated high school and had to wait nearly a year before he left for Basic.  Maybe he just hasn't made a strong connection yet.  I am happy he's not just sitting in his room playing video games.  Last night he said he was going to watch a movie with a sailor from Texas and then go for a run.  It sure would make me feel better if I knew he'd made some solid connections.  Have a great day, ladies!

Hey everyone,

I just found this discussion. My boyfriend was a nuke from PIR 7/1/11 :). He told me he is an EM in class 1142 so he's planning to fly me out around August 19th once he phases up.

Welcome(: Mine was too, also an EM and class 1142! I'm flying out tomorrow, can't wait! Maybe our guys know eachother! haha
They probably do :) sooooo jealous you get to fly out tomorrow though, I still have to wait a whole month.
That was my original plan.... but I couldn't wait haha. If the money part works out I will be back again in August then in October. I wish I lived closer!
Oh me too, I live in California so I'm literally on the opposite side of the country, not to mention airfare from California to South Carolina is kind of ridiculous
I bet. I'm in chicago, I'm just cheap lol
Haha probably just more money savvy ;) originally I wasn't gonna visit until November so I could save up some money but my sailor insisted on paying my way completely for this trip. I guess I can't really complain but I'm definitely paying for the rest of my visits.

Aw(: Yeah we are splitting 50/50 still pricey though for a new sailor and a college student haha.

The days inn goose creek has really good rates through hotwire, $62/night and its super close to base. I also just learned the "Villas" on base are $60 a night w/ 2 bdrms and your sailor can book them for you through the ITT office
