Oh he's going in the Reserves? Then his chances are slim to none. As for being stationed in New Hampshire, I think sailors stationed on the East Coast are more likely to go to the Middle East because of its proximity and accessability compared to the West Coast. Pretty much every sailor stationed on the East Coast has gone over there at least once, with the exception of those that have certain jobs that requires them to stay stateside.
Reservist are being called for deployments more and more so dont think he wont end up there. If th enavy has the need for your group they will call them up for deployments. My sailor considered reserves but then went active duty because he didnt want to be obligated 8 years if he didn't like it. Now its looking like he wants to make a career out of it. With his job he will be going to the middle east, and not on a ship which i wish he was doing but he will have an indivdual job on the ground. Ive accepted this lol but im still worry about it everyday even though i know he wont be going there for a while.
My boyfriend left June 21, 2011 and its def been hard. We have been together a year today and have lived together for 8 months so it has been tough not seeing him every single day but it helps knowing that hes doing something he loves. Ive been writing just about everyday since he left so im waiting to get my first letter from him.

Kyle left on the 13th and i got my first letter last wednesday. it was very exciting to get it and i have written him everyday since he left but this week was disappointing because i havent got anything back yet, hopefully its only becasue of the holiday though.

Yes its becus of the holiday I got 2letters Friday and a call on Thursday ship 3 div 249
My boyfriend left for bootcamp on June 13th. This monday it will be 3 weeks since he's left and it's tough. But like everyone said writing helps a whole bunch! Especially when you get letters from him...it makes it feel so much better. One thing that broke my heart was my bf said in his first letter that he was the only one who wasn't get mail so far =( I hope my letters have eventually caught up to him now. I'm so worried that they are gonna get lost or something lol. And the USN RTC page on facebook is very good...there's tons of info on there.
It hurt me as well when I know I've sent tons of letters Nd pics. My Sr said he hasn't gotten. My pics but he Has my letters
My fiancee leaves for boot camp this Sunday! I'm very nervous but also excited for our future together after he finishes boot camp. We have been together for about 5 1/2 years now and plan to get married while he is in A school (just a very small wedding). I wish everyone luck with dealing with the separation during boot camp, but also with the future that the Navy life holds for you and your loved one! :)
I am in the exact same boat, I had no idea that being without him this long would be so hard. I have been writing a letter each day but it's taking even longer for me to get his first letter cause there is no mail on July 4th. I am waiting and waiting to hear from him. If you wanna talk to someone going through the same thing I'd be more than happy to do that.. Good Luck and I hope it gets easier for you (:
I know in late but my boyfriend left June 13. I find myself writing letters even if he doesn't reply back just want him to have letters over flowing with love how are you holding up now we are done with our 4th week
my boyfriend left june 21. it's been hard, but I've been busy with work and friends and it is actually going by faster than I thought it would. I got a letter 2 days ago and it had 4 letters inside- he had been writing at night for a few days before they were allowed to send their letters. He showered me with love and how much he missed me as well as how much he LOVES boot camp. It makes everything easier :)
