navymomsandi,

where in pa are you from?  i used to live in york

We live in Dickson City,  near Scranton PA

i live down in nc now so i'm not that close

Hey Sandi,,,where did your son ship from?

got a question for the division 267 mom's.  anyone besides me have a daughter in the division?

my other daughter (she's been in 4 years) was in the same division as her sister (even graduated the same date) and it was a co-ed division then.  but all i see is mom's talking about sons, lol.
I have a daughter there.....
Yes, I do :) A very proud Momma I am! Her brothers are both in USAF. So of course she makes her statement by joining the Navy :) She has never really been a follower though:)

I have a question - my 18 yr. old that just finished A school and is headed to San Diego is having some trouble (at least my hubby and I think he is) adjusting.  He does not show the respect for the Navy, and just does his job then goofs off otherwise.  Is this normal?  Should I just let it be and let him find his way?  (I suppose I have no other choice, but thought I would ask)  He will be home on leave for 2 weeks before he reports for duty and I am not sure if it is even worth a conversation or "nag" and he would see it.  Advise??

he will either "man up" and join in the "game" or he'll do what he's doing now, it's all up to him.  my 24 year is the same way, she has never taken being in the navy seriously and plans on leaving when her 5 years are up.  she does what she has to do, no more than that.  doesn't participate in anything "extra"  the one in now was in DEP for over 6 months and studied everything she could get her hands on preparing.

my suggestion is to just let it go.  if hes anything like jess (you know the b) then it will go in one ear and out the other and will just stress you out.  like i said, he'll either figure it out or just do his time and leave.

enjoy the visit

My son is also SHIP 10 DIV 267. We are from Goodyear, AZ and I think we are staying at the Holiday Inn Express Suites. I'm going to do all my research this weekend..
