I don't know if anyone has seen this video but it shows some of what the SR's have to do in Battle Stations.

Tomorrow is the Captain's Cup!!

Captain's Cup - On the Saturday before Battle Stations, all divisions graduating together compete for the Captain's Cup. Captain's Cup is basically a field day, with competitions in sit ups, push ups, running, throwing, swimming, obstacle courses, relays, and more. It's a fun day, and winning the Captain's Cup is a matter of great pride to the winning division.

I hope the division wins the Cup.  That would be awesome!!  It sounds like it will be fun and a much needed break for the SR's.

Wow.  This was awesome to watch.  Thanks so much for sending the link.  I read somewhere on the site that their division is scheduled for Battle Stations July 13/14.  Tyler just said in yesterday's letter that their next phone call won't be allowed until after Battle Stations.

Tyler loved Captain's Cup when his recruiting office competed against others in the region in their version of the competition.  Their office won and he was pretty happy about it.  Hopefully, their division will win as well.

Less than a week left!!!!!

The boys should be having their final PT test today. I pray they're all feeling well and strong. God bless 229!!
Received a letter from my SR today. He said it will be his last one since we will be seeing him Friday. I really have enjoyed his letters over the past 8 weeks-nice to get something in the mail besides bills. Just spoke to my husband and he was so happy as he just received a call from our son! He said BATTLESTATIONS is Wednesday so light those blue candles ladies! Hope to see you all at the meet and greet on Thursday.

I got a letter today and I was just in Walgreens and got a call. He had 10 minutes. He passed his PT test. They have an acedemic test in the morning and then BS tomorrow night. My day just became perfect!!

Andrea that's interesting as my son is in 7/229 as well and he told his Dad BATTLESTATIONS was Wednesday and he would be calling us Thursday. Could it get any more confusing?

Battle Stations are the 13th / 14th.

My son's friend has completed his the other day and said it was easy.  The hardest part was the requirement of staying awake for 48 hrs!!

Well ladies, I will be leaving in about 2 hrs to head to Great Lakes!!!  I'm so excited!!!! I have a very long drive ahead of me but it is well worth it!!  We will be driving straight through and should be arriving in Great Lakes around 1:00 pm tomorrow.

Someone please light a blue candle for me since I will be on the road.  The SR's will be in my thoughts and prayers as I travel!!!

We are on our way as well. We stopped in Springfield IL for the night.  Hope we can sleep tonight. Safe travels to everyone.
