So we got offered military housing for just my husband and I and Willoughby Bay and Castle Acres are our options. Anyone have any infomation on these housings. We were origionally going to try to get something off base but mil housing pros and cons out weighed that. also I dunno if this is possible because i doubt it but my husband is trying to get a 3br for the two of us because they have garages. I told him that he's wasting his time but is there any insight on that as well?

I'm looking into willoughby bay also. Looks beautiful. I spoke to a woman about it and couples only get 1 bedroom and then 1 room per child....
Yeah since we have no children i figured we are only eligiable for a 2 bedroom. Supposidly willoughby bay are the newer ones.
Yea I heard that too...well stay in touch and maybe we will be neighbors :)
oo lucky your in the area lol theres no way for me to get down there. We are only looking in the norfolk area because of comute times.
Not sure if you saw it, but I replied to your other post. I live in Castle Acres and have a friend in Willoughby.  They really are about the same.  Neither of us have garages.  We were supposed to get a 2 bedroom, but they upgraded us to a 3 because it was all they had so you never know what you'll get.  We have 2 dogs & a baby so military housing was really our only choice.  The fenced in backyard is a plus and there's security that drives around, which makes me feel better when my hubby is on deployment!
haha yes i did see it, we dont have kids but we do have a dog and we were running into problems of not being afford the places that would alow large dogs. Are the yards a good size?
They're not too big, but it's enough for them to run around a little and do their business..haha
Haha , the yards a big plus for me. Im getting a lot of slack for not trying to find somehting off base cause we have no chicldren. I have a dog and its hard enough trying to find a place that will let us keep her cause shes over 50 lbs.
